One should not let high gas prices be a deterrent in serving the Lord, people will come because they want to come, price shouldn't be an issue As with the case in Louisville Baptist church, people were attending 3 nights a week functions and all of a sudden because of high gas prices some are not. I see nothing wrong with carpooling or getting a bus to carry many at one time to be cost efficient, but just to stop coming at all because of high prices is ludicrous.

Pastor's shouldn't compromise by giving discount gas cards or discounts at the pump,or raffles,it should be in faith to the Lord as He will provide. If churches are worried about the bottom line or a way to gain or keep existing membership by giving gas cards so that the offering plate keeps coming in ,then pastors are in the wrong business and members have a great lack of faith in the Lord by not coming due to gas prices .Lame excuse
