Gibran Khalil Gibran and now Ekhart Tolle and Oprah all these new age gurus are free to think what they want,but that is not the truth and opposite to christianity.Millions of people were attracted to Gibran who was a pioneer of new age,in his book Jesus son of man divested Jesus of His divine nature and miraculous attributes presenting Him a sententious sage,a guru.If we have to attain salvation through our own efforts,the sacrifice of Christ becomes useless.For the word of the cross is nonsense to those who are being destroyed,but it is God power to us who are being saved.I ask Oprah if she dare,to speak on tv about the power of the cross and blood on that good friday in Jerusalem in 1994 in the book the coin of the temple by souheil bayoud,(published in 2006).What Oprah is saying about the Lord Jesus Christ is a deadly error,and it seems that new age teaching is an introduction to the end times world religion of the antichrist.dayofwrath
You are spot on DayofWrath.........Oprah is a dangerous woman because she's powerful and millions are buying into her new age deception. But, we are warned of this very thing in the Bible. It's up to us to not be deceived and pray that others won't either.
This is exactly true. The Bible is the absolute norm and standard, the ruler by which we are to live our spiritual life. It is what God's Word says that matters. God's Word is the authority. And any teacher who teaches anything that is in disagreement with the Bible is teaching Satanic doctrines of demons.
In response to the OP, the way to deal with false teachings is to shine the light of the truth on them.
Those who cling to the false teachings will run, try to hide, avoid the obvious, cling to phrases like "God's ways are higher than our ways", "man's reasoning cannot understand why", etc.
But the light of the truth will succeed.
The truth is in the original scriptures, and some (most) of that truth has been translated into our modern bibles. There are many versions of these modern bibles, and they do not all agree, and none are perfect. Clearly any single version of the bible cannot contain all truth, because no two bibles agree on every verse.
All we can do is study to show ourselves approved, look at as many versions as possible, look at the original scriptures and try to understand as much as possible. And pray for God to show us the truth.
I trust God will reveal the truth to all people eventually. According to the studying I have done, He has promised it. God is on top of it.

Everyone including Christians go to hades ... Hades and sheol are the grave. The apostles and every Christian who has died are in hades right now.
The lake of fire is not eternal ... The words "for ever and ever" unto the ages of ages ... The word aion in those verse is in its plural form, so it cannot possible mean "for ever and ever" ... If it did mean ever is would have to be translated "for evers and evers" ... Evers is not a word for a reason. You cannot have multiple "for evers"or multiple" everlastings" or multiple "eternities" ... This is just a simple linguistic fact.
