An alter call brings salvation? You have to walk up in front of a bunch of people in order to be saved?

Have not seen anywhere that Jesus taught that...

I am really wondering if I am the only one on these forums who believes the bible is the word of God. No ifs, buts, or ands. If I am, I am beating a dead horse ! There is no reasoning with those who do not believe this.
I pray there are others. Maybe there are lurkers who will be reached by the word of God.

I believe God when He said " So shall My word be that goes forth from my mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." ( Isaiah 55.11 NKJV)

I believe the Bible is the word of God. God can speak to us anyway he wants to. He spoke to a man in the old testament through a donkey. Yeah thats right a donkey. There is a gift of prophecy. It is written despice not prophecying. Sometimes God may use another person to speak to us. It is in the Bible. He can also use the gift of tongues and the interpretation. He can use circumstances. He spoke to people in the old testament through dreams and visions. God is God. He can do what he wants. He will not go against his word. He is a God that does not change. The same yesterday, today and forever. Jesus is the true God and eternal life for those that believe. I hope this helps you.

The only way of salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This isn't what I'm talking about. When we ignore anything the Holy Spirit tells us to do that is resisting him. (IMO) I don't know if it is anywhere in scripture, just that we are to live our lives being led by the Holy Spirit. If I was talking to someone like the Holy Spirit does many times and was ignored, it would hurt my feelings just like the Holy Spirit is hurt often. You have to be spiritually discerned to understand spiritual things. Know no man any more after the flesh, but after the spirit.

God the Father, the Son , the Holy Spirit. You believing different doesn't change the truth. Your choice. It is written. John 14:7-11 reads......

The Father Revealed

"If you had known Me, you would have known My father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him."

Philip said to Him, "Lord show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us."

Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Phillip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

"
Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.

"Believe Me that I am in the father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

Not Betsey's word. The words of the Holy Spirit. Believe all of it, not some of it. May the Holy Spirit reveal truth to you.

Your sister in Christ Jesus

Maybe we should start a thread on the trinity, I am interested in studying this further if anyone else is.

I see it as Jesus is one with the Father, as is said of a husband and wife. They are considered one but yet have different roles.

Also we see in the verse below that the head of Christ is God. So we see, God, Christ, man, and then woman.

1Cr 11:3But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman [is] the man; and the head of Christ [is] God.

I John 5:20 And we know the son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. KJV
