What does it mean to be pro-choice based on your statement below?

I am confused. Pro choice, per your message below, is the right to choose whether or not to have an abortion, which you support, advocating it's the woman's right to make the decision. But then you say abortion is murder. You just want the right to choose it, even though you'll never do it? Or are you saying it's okay for some women to choose it, just not you, because it's murder?

pro choice is leaving the decision up to the woman and her GOD.... its between the two of them. ...

I am a Christain. I do not feel it is right to take away that choice of a woman... Abortion is wrong and those who have one are commiting murder..

but so it the person drinking alcohol....they are commiting slow suicide.
and those who " sleep around" catching all sorts of diseasess no one has a name for yet... slow suicide....yet it is there choice....

Abortion is wrong....but I darn well have the right to make choices over my own body. Nobody will tell me what to do with my body.

you are creating a catch 22....anyone believing in pro choice promotes murder, that simply is not the case.
And just because you see it that way does not mean it right or wrong.

but dont go aroung judging those who believe in the womans right to choose assuming they dont have a 100% relationship with God and Love from their SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST......

I am a bit late to this discussion but in reading your post nay624 I can't help but ask...does the Lord have a right to tell you what to do with your body? Just curious.

If you do think the Lord would have that right over your body, may I ask further what you think he would want you or any woman to do with their body if they were pregnant? Abort or deliver a baby?

all of these statements are true. you must be a Christian in all aspects of your life, you can get a divorce, have an abortion, kill someone and still be forgiven and saved. You are of the world or in Christ, people cannot have two masters.

all of these statements are true. This is also true: many are called, but few are chosen. Jesus told the preachers who were excited to meet him, that he didn't know who they were. When people asked to follow him, Jesus always put in front of their face, the sin that kept them from redemption (hypocricy, money, pleasures of the world). Don't be fooled, the road is narrow and few get to the end. Because we have a society of self loving, materialistic, worldly folks who also enjoy, in their arrogance, having the true faith (just like living in the best country in the world or living in the nicest house on the block or having the best income) doesn't mean they are christians, churchy or not churchy. Remember, christianity is also our "state" religion. It goes without saying that all "patriots" waving their flags are good true christians as well.
I live in a country where people starve to death every day. Americans, it is harder for a rich man to go to heaven than it is for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle. If you are a middle class american or more, you live in the top 8% of the wealthiest in the world. You can't pretend to not be rich because you are not an oil magnate. You live your life having fun. It may not be "sinful" but it is just love of the world instead of feeding the poor, clothing the naked and attending to the sick. Jesus said to pick up your cross and follow him. Jesus said to work out your slvation with fear and trembling.
Yes any act of wrong is forgiveable, divorce, abortion, murder. but a life of hypocricy, selfishness, apathy, materialism or anything (and ALL other worldly things) is not a changed life. The difference between being religious and pious or even "good" is a far cry from dying to yourself and living in Christ

He will forgive, IF we forgive our brothers and sisters, its not an open ended all inclusive forgiveness no matter how we live type of forgiveness.

godspeed,

freedom

Nice habit of being RUDE. I can understand what he said, sorry if you don't.

that would be like saying:

pro-America does not mean pro-war.

Just because he feels it is not his say to infringe upon another's right, doesn't mean he agrees with that right. People do bad stuff all the time, claiming it is their right to do so, in every country on the planet. Whether or not you agree with those rights and the actions taken by said right, doesn't mean you don't feel they actually have that said right. Right?

Don't Christians have a duty to speak against sin? To protect those whose rights would be trampled? To do everything in our power to prevent those who would sin?

Why would a Christian oppose the right of an unborn child to be free from the vindictiveness of a murderous "parent"?
