Ever see a mirage? Ever been alone and desperate and talk to yourself, prior to becoming a Christian? Of course you now have God to talk to, but I mean prior to that. It says Jesus BECAME Hungry, and this after 40 days without food nor water. You don't think He was fully human to fell that, or to suffer because of it? Why did messengers need to minister to Him then?

Most all people relate the book of Job to be a story. There was no perfect men prior to Jesus, so any relating to a perfect man, or such, has got to be a story at best. Trials, and tribulations are shown, and how to overcome them, while remaining in the faith.

Huh? Ok. Lucifer means morning star, or dawning star. Now read Rev 2:28 and 22:16

I do not understand the title to this thread. The words 'Real' and 'fable' are in the wrong sequence. Christians, ( those who believe the bible is the word of God) ,do not think the devil is a fable.

BRAZILIAN is on a distinguished road
The better work of the evil (satan, diablo,etc...) is make us believe he doesn't exist. Think about!

This verse in Rev 20:2
And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;

Ok, using the logic I supply at the OP, what is this? Dragon, devil, Satan all used referring to whom? Bound a thousand years. And then released? To deceive again? Like the garden deception? Just for a final war?

Rev 20:10 is truly significant. Notice how the false prophets and the beasts are already in the lake of fire. The devil gets a 1000 years bound up, and then released to deceive the nations and then tormented forever.

Scripture to interpret this thousand years?
Psa 90:4
For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it passes by, Or a WATCH in the night.

No and your point just doesn't jive, anybody can read and see Jesus is talking to someone. To debate this issue is pointless

Most all people???? maybe in your world and the Discovery Channel, not mine. Job was real and he probably wrote the book of Job

That's nonsense, nobody blames the devil when we do wrong, satan has bigger fish to fry like holocaust, genocide, fiddling with the world system afterall this is his kingdom.

We hold ourselves accountable, thru adamic nature. Adam sinned therefore the sin gene was passed down to us. We are born with a sinful nature. We are sinful, wretched creatures and not one of us deserve to go to heaven but because of God's grace and mercy he gives us a way.

Your "blame game-satan made me do it" argument is a strawman at best.

I always love the "strawman" comments. And actually this is some of yours, not mine. I take FULL responsibility for MY OWN actions, and need not place the blame on a fable.

Really? If you had the full deity of God in a human form, could you not turn a rock into bread? Would the thought cross your mind? It says He was HUNGRY! Also the other temptations aren't unlike this. Fullness of God's power "dynamos" resting in a mere human. The temptations He wrestled with wouldn't be unlike any one of us, in that same circumstance. And no, I wasn't there to "see" it.

Probably? Job is dated as the oldest book in the Bible. Some even think it was Adam himself. I look at it as allegory at best, giving us mere humans insights on trials, tribulations, sorrow, loss, happiness, and finally worthiness. Job was the ultimate overcomer, and yet he was BLAMELESS!

No biggie, most Christians equate them as one and the same anyway.

Hmm, and mines a "strawman"? First he doesn't meddle with us, or at least takes the blame, but does on a grand scale? You can't have it both ways, either he does or doesn't. Because mankind takes some of man's lusts and desires to new levels, doesn't mean it was the devil doing it.

The sin gene? Now that is news. Where is it located? I wonder if it can be mapped?

We don't hold ourselves accountable. God does, and we shall be HELD accountable to Him. Oh, and I don't buy the born sinners junk either. If that was the case, then Jesus wasn't human. And since I know He didn't cheat concerning the Law, because He is perfect, then by simple logic so must children be born perfect. They lose their innocence in this broken world, and fall into temptations and then sin. But prior?

When I say devil, or satan, or even dragon, I am referring to the mythical fallen angel battling for millions of souls.

I know what you are referring to. I am just wondering about the way you made it sound as if Christians think Satan is a fable
