My question or concern is is homosexuality really a choice or something they are "forced" to live with. Like I am attracted to females naturally, and there is nothing I can do to change it. I wonder if it is the same way with the homosexuals. If it is so, why would then God give commands to people to change who they can't help to be? It would be like me trying to force myself to like the same gender.

But I have to think it is a choice because there are commands in the Bible to not practice such acts. Why would God forbid what one cannot change? Not to mention that they cannot produce offspring, which is against the their biological functions and purposes, making it unnatural. I just don't know how to really feel.

Our church secretary is a gay man. His partner is running the annual bazaar this year--he has good experience with these types of events.

How sad that some so called christians see it this way...

Following the dispute over allowing ministers in same-sex relationships, up to ten congregations are now set to leave the Church of Scotland.

The congregation of Stornoway’s High Church voted to break away from the Church of Scotland at a special ballot on Tuesday night.

The Church of Scotland said on Wednesday that around ten of its 1,400 congregations have now considered leaving after the General Assembly’s decision to allow to allow ordaining ministers in same-sex relationships.

Two congregations have already left the Church of Scotland over the issue.

I for one appreciate your candor, and you have expressed a situation I have gone through myself. As to
the point of "biological functions," there is a wonderful variety in God's creation and the ins and outs of our ecology are far more various than apparent "functions." Just as an example that might apply consider the idea that a normally submerged predisposition might be expressed when population density reaches a critical point. "Unnatural" is just not that simple and the idea of "natural law" is just too simplistic and a society that needs "replacements" will view failure to reproduce differently from one experiencing crowded conditions or short resources.
