Marriage was considered when two were bethrothed or when they were consumnated.
In this case, God bethrothed them, and Adam/Eve consumnated the marriage afterwards.

I appreciate your thoughts. I understand this is probably the "standard" Christian answer.
However, if we assume that God married Adam and Eve, "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply" (Gen 1:28)
And then read Ecclesiastes 3:14, "..whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it.."
What are the implications of this... ? Does it then contradict the passage in Mark you refer to?

You can't make a sermon out of 1 verse. Read the whole passage to see what he is speaking about.
Nothing as in what men can do to it or not.

I agree with Nero.
Mark 12
24 Jesus said unto them, Is it not for this cause that ye err, that ye know not the scriptures, nor the power of God?
25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as angels in heaven.
Eccl. 3
14I have known that all that God doth is to the age, to it nothing is to be added, and from it nothing is to be withdrawn; and God hath wrought that they do fear before Him (Young's Literal)
God bless.

Shana and Nero are correct: Adam and Eve are not married in heaven, and neither is anyone else. Jesus himself said so...
