King James Bible
I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
I have heard this before where accepting the trinity and Jesus as God is said to be worshipping a different God than worshipping God and accepting Jesus as Lord and saviour.
What I believe the scriptures say is that God (Gods Spirit) was in Jesus reconciling the world (man) to himself, Jesus is the mediator and no one can come to the Father except through Jesus, but to me Jesus is not God (the ultimate Supreme Yahweh). He is the way, the truth and the life.
1 Peter 1:2 "God the Father chose you long ago, and the Spirit has made you holy, as a result, you have obeyed Jesus Christ and are cleansed by His blood".
Another verse that mentions all three of the Trinity.
1 Peter 1:2 "God the Father chose you long ago, and the Spirit has made you holy, as a result, you have obeyed Jesus Christ and are cleansed by His blood".
Another verse that mentions all three of the Trinity.
Just because a verse mention God, Gods Spirit and Jesus the Christ does not mean that they are a "trinity"
The greek word theos does not only mean Supreme God (Yahweh) it also means all other gods.
King James Bible
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
How can Jesus be God if God is his Father and God. This says Praise our Lord Jesus Christ's God.

They are working together in that verse as they do all through the Bible. Jesus is God and yes God is His Father, they have different roles, but they are the same.
Isaiah 45:22 “Turn and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other
Acts 4:12 “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Peter’s witness of Jesus)
Isaiah’s prophesy of Jesus
6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor (Holy Spirit), Mighty God, Everlasting Father (Father), Prince of Peace (Son). 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.
God is singular but refers to himself plural
Deuteronomy 4:35 “You were shown these things so that you might know that the LORD is God; besides him there is no other.
Plural reference:
-- Genesis 1:26 in which God says "Let us make man in our own image"
-- Genesis 3:22 in which God says, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil."
-- Genesis 11:7 in which God says, "Let us go down and confuse their language."
-- Isaiah 6:8 in which God says, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
How can Jesus be God?
Colossians 2:9 “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,”

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
If Jesus was God why was he telling Mary that he was going to his God and Mary's God
I'm curios to what Trinitarians think of Meerkat2's post.
John 20:28
Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"
Thomas was speaking confessionally, not in using Gods name in vain.
Matthew 4:7
Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' "
(the devils temptation of Jesus)
John 1:1-2, 14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning....The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us
