Hello,

I was listening to a preacher in my car radio today and he said something that jumped out to me.

He was talking about faith in the word of God.

What he said was that the word of God is not just some written words but it is full of energy. It is alive.
God created the earth through the spoken word. There is power and energy in the word of God.

If we believe in the word of God without doubting or questioning and by faith only, there is unlimited power and energy in the word of God.
I agree.

Yep, I agree. Kind of like willingly walking off a cliff in a good way.
I am not 'there" yet. Fully surrendering to God is a big challenge like walking off a cliff.

Absolutely! Hebrews 4:12 "For the Word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desire. It exposes us for what we really are".
God's Word is living, life changing and dynamic as it works in us.

Uh-huh, agree. The Bible is alive and breathing and when you trust by Faith the veil is lifted and you feel the energy.

"Jesus Is Truth", and I'm waiting on the "Day of The Lord".

Alright, it's definitely time for bed.

amen...I totally agree on the power of God's word.

His word has the ability to create a world where there was none, and fill it with water, land, vegetation of all types, animals and humans. It is awesome for sure.

The real question here is are we capable of such faith? When Moses parted the Red Sea was it because he had the amount of faith in God to do so, or did God choose him to show others that anything is possible through him?

Yes ... but to be the fly in the ointment that I usually am ... ....

What is the word of God?

Is it the cannon of scripture that we have today?

Or is it Jesus Christ?

The canon of scripture that we use today gives us messages that indicate Christ is "The Word" and also and the "The Word" is written on our hearts.

If we trust in the infallibility of the written word does that mean we are trusting in "Him"?

Just food for thought to challenge paradigms.

Indeed. What church bureaucrat got to decide what would go into the Bible and what would be excluded? I suppose if God had any input though, all that we need to know about him made it into the Bible we read today.

"If God spoke everything into existence as the Genesis record proposes, then we should be able to scientifically prove that the construction of everything in the universe begins with a) the Holy Spirit (magnetic field); b) Light (an electric field); and c) that Light can be created by a sonic influence or sound,........."
