Think about it stop looking for the person who dies of a head wound and then comes back to life Jesus is the only one who has that power!

This is a copy of the letter referenced in my first post. It was written on June 29, 2006

Why Mahmoud Abbas is the Beast of Revelation 13.

The most important issue that must be resolved in discovering the meaning of Revelation 13 is which people are being discussed. If the wrong people are associated with the prophecies of Revelation 13 its answer can never be found. The people being referred to in Revelation 13 are the Palestinians. Once this is decided three questions have to be answered; why, how and who.

Why do the Palestinian people lack the ability to buy and sell? Due to the Hamas takeover of the Palestinian Government, Western Aid was discontinued.

How will the Palestinian people receive funds in order to buy and sell? Through a program called the Temporary International Mechanism that bypasses the Hamas controlled Palestinian Authority. This program was established on Friday June 16, 2006. This date 6/16/06 represents the day that one man was allowed to administer a program that paid the salaries of his people.

Who will provide these salaries to the Palestinians? Western Aid was resumed through the office of Mahmoud Abbas due to the Temporary International Mechanism.

Also, what group will be prevented from getting money because they did not receive the mark? Hamas.

The mark of Mahmoud Abbas was issued in the Palestinian Presidential Election of January 2005. To prevent double voting an indelible ink mark was applied to the right hand of all voters. Since Hamas boycotted these elections their members never received the mark. Revelation 13:16 states that he caused all, small and great, rich and poor, and free and bond to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads. Simply by being a candidate, Mahmoud Abbas caused his people to receive the mark. Anyone who voted, either for him, or against him, were there because of him.

Hamas will not honor the Image of Mahmoud Abbas, therefore all salaries are being given to Fatah, the party of Mahmoud Abbas. The Image is what the Palestinian Authority under Mahmoud Abbas represents. This Image of Abbas is required by the international community to continue peace talks with Israel. This Image is three items. These are the renunciation of terror, the honoring of all prior Palestinian agreements, and the recognition of Israel, which can also be expressed as the acceptance of the two-state solution based on the 1967 borders. If these ideas are not followed or honored those individuals will be killed. This is happening to Hamas daily.

So here is the sum of the matter. Mahmoud Abbas, in his name, was allowed to pay his people through a program created on a date that ended in three sixes. He was elected to his people by popular vote and caused his people to take a mark. This mark was given to everyone, even those in Israeli jails, who voted. Christians were always taught these basic principles, except I have linked the number 666 with his name, while prior teaching had the mark as 666 engraved.

Lastly, why is it important that these facts be stated? The reason is fulfilled prophecy written centuries ago can only mean one thing. The author of that prophecy has to be God. Also, it distinguishes between a true and a false religion. These are the two most important issues in this writing. May your faith be stronger. The blessings of God to all who understand. Michael777

Please, people, can we finally refrain from misusing 2 Peter 3:8 to negate every time statement in the Scriptures! Again, it does not say that one day IS a thousand years! Read it again, please, Michael777. It says "one day is AS a thousand years. All this verse is saying is that God is outside of the confines of time; it has no hold upon Him. But when He communicates with us, He uses words we will understand? He uses words in our perspective. Do you want a God who says to us "soon" when He really means "later"--much later? Do you want a God who says to us "at hand" or "near" when He really means "far off--far, far off?" God says what He means and means what He says--in words we will understand according to the rules of language!

God invented words and language for us to communicate with one another and for Him to communicate with us. When the writers of the NT wrote their inspired words and they used such terms as "at hand" and "near" and "soon" and "shortly," they used them in their normal, common, everyday usage! Do you not use them that way? If God wanted to say far off or later, He would have said that!
Many hidden prophecies are discovered through parables, and the book of Revelation is filled with them. Jesus taught in parables for this reason. In some instances Jesus would identify the parable as it was spoken and then give its meaning, but often times parables are not identified. When an important parable is misinterpreted it can hide an entire prophecy. This is by design. Not all people are supposed to know the answers to them. This also explains why there are so many different interpretations and denominations. Parables are a way of telling the truth and hiding it at the same time...

The following is a parable that is not identified as such. It has to do with with the days of the week. The Lord created the Heavens and the Earth in six days and he rested on the seventh. One day to the Lord is a thousand years. It took the Lord 6000 years (our time) to create the Earth and the heavens, while he rested on the seventh. He rested for one thousand years. This is a similtude of the final events in history. If a time check is made of Chronicles and all the time elements are added the same picture develops. There is roughly 4000 years from Adam to Jesus. From Jesus to present day, there is about 2000 years more. That makes almost 6000 years, therefore when the sixth day is finished he will once again rest on the seventh. This will be the one thousand year millenium or one day to the Lord...This parable is a great help in the identification of the Beast of Revelation 13. If we had no idea when to look for the beast, wouldn't we be as all of those before us, guessing at any circumstance? We know the Beast must come prior to the Lord, therefore all we need to do is identify the correct portion of time to look. This is what I have done.

Revelation 1:7 says that he will come and all eyes shall see him. Verse 8 says, he is, was, and is to come. Implying he hasn't came yet. This means; He is the Father, He was Jesus and was crucified, and is to come again. Verse 10 says that John was in the spirit on the Lord's Day. This means he was in heaven witnessing the events on the Lords Day. Do you know what the Lord's day is? It is written in many places throughout the Bible, but Isaiah 13 has a pretty good explanation for this discussion. The Day of the Lord is a day unlike no other. It is a day of war, it is very cruel and is likened unto the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. This is the beginning of final judgment. The Lord said he would never destroy the earth by flooding it again. This destruction is by fire.

I hesitate to add this statement. I guess it is time though, and why not here since it will help in my explanation. Another parable that needs to be understood is Mystery Babylon. I have heard this place called everything but what it really is. Mystery Babylon is Jerusalem, Israel here on Earth. The mystery comes in the fact that there is more than one Jerusalem. Sometimes God is referring to New Jerusalem and sometimes he is referring to Jerusalem, Israel on Earth. He switches back and forth to confuse the reader on purpose. Why you ask? Not all people are supposed to understand. It's certainly evident that God has succeeded in hiding his prophecy in parables and he will certainly come as a thief. Everybody is looking in the wrong place...

One other thing of note. Satan's greatest strength is a lie. When he tempted God, God was showing us how he would operate. He takes scripture that God has laced with parable for a reason and twists the meaning purposefully in order to create false meanings and ideas. His main goal is to deceive and take as many souls with him to Hell as he can. No Christians will be on that list...

And again, why is it that those who want to use 2 Peter 3:8 to silence preterists, quote only one portion of it? What about the part that says "a thousand years is as a day?" What does that mean Michael? Are we now to suppose that every thousand years that pass are really only one day? Perhaps the millennium you long for will be only one day long? Is that not the logical conclusion of your reasoning if you consider the entire verse?
This question is answered above.

Not everyone, everywhere at the same time received their reward. When Jesus returned and set the captives free from Hades, He pronounced judgment upon the righteous and the unrighteous. Those who waited in Hades in paradise went immediately to be with Him and received their rewards; those who waited in the place of the unrighteous were cast eternally from His presence. Hades was then cast into the lake of fire.
None of us has been Judged yet. Revelation 11:18 says we shall receive our rewards when the dead are Judged. This only happens after the seventh trump. This is after the mystery of God is finished. If we are found worthy we will live and reign with Christ one thousand years. The rest of the dead shall not live until the thousand years are finished. The White Throne Judgement happens after the millenium when everyone will be Judged according to their works. The books will be opened and Death and Hell shall be cast into the lake of fire. The final Judgement concerns the death of the soul or the second death. This has not happened yet. Revelation XX paraphrazed. Michael777

Again, Michael, you are assuming that all people everywhere at the same time are to be judged. Did I not point out Acts 17 and 24 where Paul said that in his day the judgment and the resurrection were about to occur?
Was that not why Felix became so afraid when he heard Paul's words? And will you please deal with the time indicators found in the first and last chapters of the Revelation? The trumpets and the White Throne Judgment fall within that time frame--the things that were to shortly take place because the time was then near!

Is it at least remotely possible that you are misunderstanding the nature of both the resurrection and the judgment? Is it possible? Many of us have been taught to expect some end of time judgment where everyone, in one event, is brought before the throne of God to be judged. Where is such a one-time, all-inclusive, end-of-time event taught? You cannot resort to the book of Revelation which deals with past events!

The judgment Christ brought in A. D. 70 was not such an all-inclusive, one-time event for everyone throughout the history of man. The greatest hope in the Jewish mind was to overcome Sheol/Hades. Christ brought that victory! Hades was emptied and cast into the lake of fire when Christ returned in A. D. 70 to judge that wicked nation, bring an end to the Old Covenant, Mosaic system, and fully establish the New--the righteous entered His presence and the unrighteous were cast out. Christ made the determination or the judgment for the disposition of all throughout all time. The actual fulfillment of that in individual lives takes place at each individual's death. That is why Paul could write: "O Death, where is thy sting? O Hades, where is thy victory?" (1 Cor. 15). Note also Hosea 13:14 where the Lord promised--"I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death."

In conjunction with the judgment is resurrection. There was about to be a resurrection Paul told the Athenians (Acts 17). Was it to be a physical, bodily resurrection seen in the bodies of everyone, everywhere throughout all time popping up out of their graves at some so-called end of time event? Or was it the imparting of resurrection life--the giving of resurrection bodies first of all to those who had dwelt in Hades and then to all since that time at their individual "deaths?" This is the basis for Christ's words that whoever dies, yet he lives; whoever lives shall never die! We die physically; we shed these earthen vessels. But we never truly die--we emerge as a butterfly from a cocoon and enter immediately into the presence of our Lord and Savior. Just as the caterpillar does not die but is transformed, so we are transformed--the natural to the spiritual.

Is this not the concept behind Jesus' words to His first-century disciples to "look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near" (Luke 21:28). Weren't they already saved? Weren't those who "slept" in Paradise already saved? What redemption drew near to those first-century saints? It was the emptying of Hades once and for all and the impartation of their resurrection bodies (1 Cor. 15)! Therefore, contrary to accusations by futurists, preterists do not deny the resurrection; we simply have a different and I believe biblical view of its nature.

Are preterists guilty of removing the blessed hope from believers today as many claim? No! This is now our blessed hope as it was once the blessed hope of those of that time--we will never die! Death has no sting; the grave has no victory! We will not leave this world and enter a place of waiting. We will pass from this life, leave behind our earthen vessels which will return to the earth from which they came, be immediately given our resurrection bodies, and enter into Christ's presence to live with Him forever! What more should we long for that Christ has not already given to us?

There appear to be only two options in this debate. Either we choose to believe that there is to be an end-of-time, all-inclusive Judgment and ignore or redefine all the eschatological time indicators or we take the time indicators at face value and rethink our understanding of the nature of the Resurrection and the Judgment. The time statements are obvious; they are not negated by some desperate appeal to 2 Peter 3:8! Can you ever reconcile your understanding of the Judgment and the Resurrection and deal honestly with the time statements of the NT? I do not believe so. You must decide whether the trade off is necessary and acceptable.

With the system of interpretation that you defend, you will never reconcile the judgment and the resurrection with the clear time words. Never. They are totally incompatible. You will always be forced to ignore them or redefine them. All I am asking of anyone is the same thing someone once asked of me--will you rethink or at least give consideration to a different point of view which does justice to the time statements of the NT by at least attempting to understand it before you begin screaming "heresy"--the inevitable conclusion to which your approach leads.

In Christ, Preterist (just a fellow truth seeker)
