Who are the false teachers and deceivers?
  1. "MANY will say to me [Jesus] in that day, Lord, Lord [Master, Master], have we not:

A: PROPHESIED [taught, preached] in Thy Name [Jesus]?

B: In Thy Name [Jesus] have CAST OUT DEVILS [demons]?

C: And in Thy Name [Jesus] done MANY WONDERFUL WORKS [miracles]?

And then will I profess [plainly, openly, tell them to their face] I NEVER KNEW YOU: DEPART FROM ME YOU THAT WORK INIQUITY [lawlessness]" (Matt. 7:22-23).
  2. "For MANY shall come in my name, saying [that], I [Jesus] am Christ, and shall deceive MANY" (Matt. 24:5).
Who are the "MANY" today who, (1) Teach and preach in the name of Jesus Christ? (2) Cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ? (3) Do MANY (not a few, but many) WONDERFUL WORKS (not evils works, but good and wonderful works), in the name of Jesus Christ? Who? The Russians? The Chinese? The Muslims? The Hindus? The Confucianists? The Buddhists? The Shintoists? The Zoroastrians? The Jews? The QUARTER BILLION Ethnic Religionists? The HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLION Athiests? Do ANY of these worldwide religions "teach, preach, cast out demons, and do many wonderful works IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST?" No, they don’t!
Well then, WHO ARE THESE "MANY" who do these things?
Do "MANY" of the TWO BILLION CHRISTIANS in the world today, "teach, preach, cast out demons, and do many wonderful works IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST?" Then I would say that we have identified the "many" that Jesus warned us about. It is not enough to preach, teach, heal, and cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ. One has to also OBEY the commandments and teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus said that it is the "many" who do good words, but are guilty of "iniquity" which means "lawlessness."
Next, who are the "MANY" today who say that, "Jesus IS THE CHRIST, THE MESSIAH?" No, don’t be deceived; it is not those few who occasionally claim that they themselves are "Jesus the Christ." They don’t deceive the "many." Only some fool would ever be deceived into believing that some carnal idiot really IS the Christ. Besides, there are NOT "many" who make such a claim in the first place.
But there certainly are "MANY" who say and teach that JESUS is the REAL CHRIST! And so it is not only those who "teach and preach and cast out demons and do many wonderful works in the name of Jesus" who are DECEIVING THE MANY, but also there is a large group (many) who teach that "Jesus really IS THE CHRIST" and yet Jesus said it would be these that are also DECEIVING THE MANY!
Millions of Christians have heard these Scriptures quoted all their lives. But, God forbid that they would pause a minute or two to consider WHO REALLY ARE THESE PEOPLE THAT JESUS IS TALKING ABOUT THAT REALLY DO THESE MANY WONDERFUL THINGS AND YET … DECEIVE THE MANY!!

Remember..many are called but few are chosen. Who are the called and who are the chosen? I believe the church who know the name of Jesus as the messiah are the called but they are not the chosen. They are the same people the above scriptures are talking about....the MANY. Remember..MANY will say to me in that day Lord,Lord. MANY are called but few are chosen! The same MANY!! Come out of her my people!

Watching a televangelist on tv is like watching a marathon..all about the money. What do they teach? They teach the same thing that most modern churches teach which is false doctrine..again..my opinion. Where do MOST of today`s so called christians get their intepretation of God`s word? They get it from these same churches and televangelist. They all follow the same false doctrine. But these great masses of people are the ones who think they are heading for the narrow gate. Folks it is truly a narrow gate. If I was running with the crowd and the religious people of the day, I would be very concerned about what I believe. Look at the history of the bible and the religious crowds or majority of past eras. People who truly thought they had the truth. Let God`s word and his word only be your guide..not the popular teaching of man and the church.
The good news (as you know ) is that God has provided a way for imperfect people to come into fellowship with Him, through faith in Jesus as having paid for our sins - personally.
The gospel calls people to repentance and a turning from continuing to sin.
It's a call to holiness - and not being influenced and enticed by the world and it's "wisdom".
It's the good news that even when we falter and stumble, we can trust that Jesus is able to see us through and that we who are in His are not under the law of sin and death, but now there is no condemnation for us.
(Romans 7,8
His Spirit helps us in our daily lives and will raise us up in the resurrection.
Those in Christ do not go to hell, and the second death has no power over them.
That's pretty great news!

Sadly, it's not taught much these day, as people are comfortable in their pews and prefer the prosperity gospel and the gospel of dominion as if we are called to be little gods.
We (they) seem to like gospels which don't confront us with sin, but those which make us feel good - just as we are.
We (they) like the concept that God is a vending machine - if operated properly - He will yield the desired result, power, money, comfort other trappings of the world.

The false gospel that Jesus came to help us with self improvement and make our lives smooth and worry free.
And when things don't work out that way, it is our fault for not having enough faith.

Jesus - quoting the Old Testiment - warned us about being deluded with doctrines of men. (Mat 15:9)
Paul also spoke of doctrines of men (Col 2:22) and even doctrines of demons (1 Tim 4:1).

Personally, I can only take just so much of Christian TV. False teachings, begging for money, a little bit of good stuff, and then some more errors.

We are called to a narrow gate, and we can't take all the baggage of the world with us.
