No matter how many people say it, no matter how many ways it is said, some of you people are so blind and bull headed. I guess you wouldn't believe Jesus Christ Himself!

JW's are completely hopeless!

Oh of course! I was just responding to Okie's thought

BTW, thanks for the insights from your past posts. You were more informative than anyone else, oddly enough. It's got to be really interesting from your angle, watching us all argue and debate about stuff while you stand on the sidelines, scratching your head.

Thanks. Yes, I do enjoy watching the occassional debate, even if I don't have a stake in it myself either way. Also, I think it is important to learn about others' beliefs. I cannot be mature in my own beliefs, or even have a good constructive debate, if I do not understand where others come from. As such, I have always studied religions (or in other contexts, opposing theories) very carefully.

There are some that use the same arguments as JWs, strange bedfellows I would say, no?

It would seem some do not accept Christmas just like JWs. While most Christians do. In fact I have never met a christian that does not accept Christmas,so I would think such goups would fall under the heading as being a cult.

nothing wrong with christmas...i just dont believe in the trees that people cut down and bring into their homes....

also, just because it's the popular thing to do doesn't mean God is for it.

We can now see that gay marriage will soon be the 'popular thing' in about 5-10 years...that doesnt mean God is for it.

Cult? Really? The defintion of a cult includes many institutions (including marriage, as one previous thread showed). Catholicism not a cult?

People like to throw that dirty word "cult" around when their beliefs are different.

BTW Ted08721...names beeveenh, I'm a Christian, I don't "accept" Christmas...nice to meet you!
