Because obviously the true meaning of the birth of Jesus is directly releated to a Christmas Sale at L.L. Bean.

Focus on the Family is annoying. If they think using the word "Christmas" is some measure of how well Christianity is doing in America, they are nuts and are basically chasing dust in the wind.

Yep!

Heaven forbid, it ever be called "Yuletide Sales".

I think it is horrible how retailers pick up "Christmas". I would prefer Holiday Sales instead of "Christmas" sales.

Even as Christian I do not understand the uproar about "Merry Christmas". The whole holiday season is nothing more than that: a HOLIDAY season. Christ never instructed the disciples to set up specific days of the year for us to celebrate different aspects of the life of Christ. EVERY HOLIDAY is something that we as people have devised, and it really has nothing to do with Christianity at all.
