The purposes in the MINDS of the pagans are what made them symbols of worship . . . nothing within the objects themselves!

Agree. God bless.

Alice,
I am surprised that you would not be interesting in starting one. I just thought that you would be able to begin it better than me, but if you wish to participate that would be great. I will see how to start it.

I've been involved in lots of discussions about 'burning hell' on these boards. I find it a very frustrating topic indeed. *sigh*

Because, dear Alice, you are obviously a person of some calmness and wit, without rancor and yet thoughtful and responsive. Even we wide-reading evil atheists follow your thoughts, versus those of the more painfully combative types.
Have a happy! P&L2A! &HSPF* rflmn™

Have a nice week Alice. You definitely are a very calm person.
Interesting that even atheists read what you have to say. While I am not an atheist, I don't much believe in the God of the Bible. I just have my own beliefs about things.

As a Christian, do YOU personally feel comfortable with the pagan aspects of Christmas? Do you feel that attatching the birth of Christ to traditions that were previously only a part of the Winter Solstice makes it okay? Is there scriptural basis for changing the 'theme' of a pagan practice and turning it into something that is acceptable to God?
What about the lies associated w/ Christmas...Santa Claus, three wise men (not a scriptural teaching), the star of bethlehem being a gift from God etc.
You guys know that I'm a Jehovah's Witness so no, I don't celebrate. But why do you?
