Why would you want to pull through? If you believe heaven is awaiting you and that`s where your real home is...why would you fight to keep from going there? Just curious
Cause there's room for one more................could it be you?
Hi, I don't believe that God scrambles up their thinking, so that they will change, but He causes things to happen or take place which will have an effect on their thinking. He brings things about and they willingly choose Him. He may allow someone to fall so low that eventually he or she comes to their senses, like the man did in the story of the prodigal son. The son returned to the father, but there were circumstances which contributed to his decision to do this. God bless.
The 107th Psalm gives us some examples of events that influence people to repent and willingly choose The Creator as the ruler of their life. In them, we see the LORD's goodness and mercy as he draws men to Jesus, the Saviour.
"Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses." Psa 107:5-6
"Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron; Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High: Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses." Psa 107:10-13
"Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses." Psa 107:17-19
"They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep. For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses." Psa 107:23-28
Let us give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! verse 1

I have found great comfort in these verses over the years
If “free will” can mean that God gives humans the opportunity to make choices that genuinely affect their destiny, then, yes, human beings do have a free will but no matter what God does in our lives we still can pick or choose that is why God said, God bluntly states that those outside of salvation are without excuse--“no defense.” Praying for someone does not mess with free will. God can direct them even soften their hearts but it is up to the individual to make that free choice.
If God is loving then why not soften the hearts of all men? Why just soften the hearts of those being prayed for?
