Perfect love for God transform our relationship to Him. Because we are living in love (His love), just as God is love, we are sure that on the day of judgment we will not be punished. We know longer fear His punishment, but rather rest in His love.

Yes, it is His presence in ones life through Jesus Christ that brings the reverence! We can not love Him without Him. Because He first loved us!

A reverence fear is a healthy fear, one who has tasted the Lord is good and has received salvation through Jesus Christ and rests in that.
He then is made perfect in His love. And no fear can enter their heart. He has overcome the world, satan, and sin...... as Christ has promised.

There are two types of fear in the scripture, one of love and one of punishment.
If one is saved through Jesus Christ their should not be any fear, because Christ is the assurance of the hope in one's heart, eternal life.

On the other hand if one fears (afraid) God, it is fear from his sin, one who has not believed in the Lord Jesus and is without the hope of eternal life. Then the fear will torment because the wages of sin is death..... judgment of ones sin.

No one can escape the fact one day everyone will face the judgment seat of Christ. Either eternal life or eternal separation from God!

So.........what are you really asking?
I really appreciate the post........the religious phrases we use sometimes are taken for TRUTH that can never be understood better, .Doesn't the scripture say, seek wisdom like gold? .......study to show yourself approved....... ? work out your own souls salvation, with FEAR (GOD...in reverence..in.....His presence) ....with fear and trembling .

OK, thanks! Just was curious to what you were really meaning.... if one believes usually one knows!
I guess it has always been a hunger & desire for me......not a fear or doubt!
When I read the scriptures it is a reverence (awesomeness) of Him! That He is revealing His perfect love in me and in that it creates faith in my heart wanting to honor, love, obey Him the best I know in what He is showing & giving me...to believe and walk in that!
Blessings

With His pure holiness, we couldn’t hope to stand in His presence by our own power.

Thankfully, Jesus not only paid the price for our sin, He stands between YHWH and ourselves as our mediator and intercessor.
(Hebrews 9 & 12)(Hebrews 7:25)
Once a person is born of the Spirit, YHWH becomes known as Father.
We must respect and reverence Him, but because of Jesus, we need not have attitude of fear.

Scripture calls us to follow Christ and to do that through the Holy Spirit. (Rom 8:14)
And then "perfect love casts out fear."

Unfortunately, fear of missing the rapture has been used for evangelistic purposes.
When this secret rapture does not occur and real tribulation begins (not the wrath), many will call into question what they believe because it will be obvious that they have been taught a falsehood.
I believe this will cause the apostasy.
When I came to the Lord in the 80’s, anyone teaching anything about Revelation was teaching the rapture and most still do.
But they all neglect the sequence spelled out in 1Thes 4:15.
I remember an article about christians in the 1800's who climbed up to their roof of their houses. They were expecting the rapture, they fell off the roof and were injured. Some died.....Which is worse.that or KOOL AID at Jones town......we are called to be wise, not a fool, not foolish.

Hmmm.
I wonder if they left their cloaks indoors, so that they would not go and get them.
Oh wait. That's just in Jerusalem.

I have to admit to enjoying a nice roof top view, but I haven't been up there waiting for the Lord.

He will come at the last trumpet and then... the resurrection.
Those who manage to survive to that point in time will be translated from mortality to immortality - simply because they are not dead.
