As fearing God and fearing hell is the basis for many Christians believing "just in case," it seems that the "wages of fear" is faith.
I was one of them. Doubt and pursuit of evidence overcame fear eventually.
I love a church with a good jeering section.
Actually, I didn't come to Christ just in case.
It seemed that if it was true, it was the only logical way to live life.
The Creator (if there was one) knows what He is doing and there would be completeness in getting to know Him.
For me, my "just in case", was in being confident that I would figure out the truth or the myth of His reality.
I kept my "just in case" tucked away for the future, because I knew that this was a commitment which could not be half-hearted.
Well... in about a second, He removed any question of His reality.
That was 25 years ago, and the first thing I did was toss away my "just in case" because I wouldn't need it.
Some do come to Christ because of fear of hell.
There's nothing wrong with that.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 1:7
"Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Mat 10:28
This is godly fear - even reverence.
Then there is the fear which is common to man.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
We love him, because he first loved us.
1John 4:18,19
The LORD is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?
Psalm 118:6
then we doubt what we know is true in our heart.......we fix it by getting back to the original truth that written there long ago and we doubted when we feared . Like as a child I fell out or a car, my Father should have been more careful, no big deal? But the child of three doesn't understand, and I grew up not trusting Adults. It is simple when you have a simple mind, like me.

Godly humility is of the Lord, Leon.
And the simple things of the Lord can be deep.
Remember when Peter stepped out of the boat?
He looked around at what he was actually doing and became afraid.
He fear brought doubt and he began to sink, but the Lord lifted him up again.

Yeah....it is a great life but we must give it away.the less I have the more I have
