It depends which God you are talking about. If it's the Jehovah God from the Old Testament he is definitely not a good God. The old Jehovah is very vindictive, ethnocentric, warlike, unforgiving, and jealous. (And everything negative you would find in a warped person). But the God that Jesus talks about is definitely great. He is a forgiving God, loving God, loves everyone, (not just the ones from his race) very inclusive, loves peace and not war. Jesus’ God is really a great God.

Here, here. Cheers! Happy New Year! May peace finally cover all the earth in 09.
Awesome isn't capable of describing God. The Almighty is "I AM." What more can
a person say? We a totally limited and finite, yet we are promised that one day
we will live eternally knowing all from the time before time.

I have had the recent priveledge of witnessing to a friend of mine since childhood, about Jesus. She is going through a painful separation from her husband currently and at times has had little strength to get through the day. As I have been sharing his love with her and scriptures she has been feeling his reassuring and comforting presence in her life. She is finding strength everyday and encouragement in how he is already working in her life. She is starting to fall in love with him and experiencing joy and wisdom that she has never had before. This has been the best Christmas gift ever, that I could share the love of God with someone I love. He is sooo good to me and I wish that everyone could have this treasure. Praise him forever!

My dad, who is just turning 88, is here for a few weeks. He still drives and is healthy as a horse, he has an older brother and an older sister. He blesses me in his knowledge of God's word. My parents became Christians in their 50's and grew into such mature believers through much study and prayer. And here my dad is now at this age on the board of a seminary in Vt and writing materials. He feels more used by God now than at any time in his life....God is so good.

Yes God is good ALL the time. I have been thanking Him so much lately for how He has blessed me so much this year, not with material things, but with spiritual things, peace, comfort, love and joy. I have been unemployed for four years and He has provided for me just as I knew he would. Thank you Lord Jesus for loving me and for being faithful, all your promises are true!!!!!!
