Take a deep breath!!
We, as Christians, really do need to take a deep breath. Slow way, way down, and turn to our King. We need to turn off the tragic events going on in the world, and just be still.
A lot of Christians are clammering right now, licking their lips, thinking that any moment now,,BOOM,,gone. Raptured out, and let the world fall as it will.
A lot are also lookinng at the world events, hoping for a anti-christ, and the second coming. They are looking for earthquakes, fires, and massive weather patterns. Is this vanity, and striving after the wind?
Let us see how one of the most Historic Prophets, Elijah, found God, and was found by God.
1st Kings 19:11
Then He said, "Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD." And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, [but] the LORD [was] not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, [but] the LORD [was] not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, [but] the LORD [was] not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.
Are we seeking out that small still voice? Is the world getting in the way? Are we looking for "signs" and "wonders" when we are the ones made in the very image of God?
Just something to think about.
May your day be filled with Jesus, our King, and may His Peace and Love dwell in your soul.

Well I am looking forward ridding myself of sin forever and starting a perfect, joyous, unhindered, righteous relationship with my God, I will admit it would be great not having to pay any more bills

The biggest problem with Christians (and everyone in fact) is that we've made a graven image by conforming God into our image. It's the hardest thing to cast down all imaginations and see that He is unlike anything created, much less anyone in our experience/circle.
This has effected countless lives, as they've turned from God after equating Him with other father figures and representatives of the gospel - tragic, is it not?
