If I am not honest, then I would be a hypocrite, insomuch as I am reiterating the Word of God about living free from all sin.

I feel that you are asking these questions because you want to dispute God's Word. If that is the case, then I will simply keep giving you, and anyone else, the Word. That is what Jesus did. Please tell me your motive, because I cannot see why a genuine born-again Christian would dispute God's Word. I have given many scriptures that would have to be dismissed to uphold the doctrine of "Once saved, always saved" and "everybody sins". These are heresies and doctrines of devils.

I, also, would like to know if you do not need to fight sin. I've never known anyone that has been able to overcome entirely.

Oh stop this ridiculous sidestepping and answer the question. Quoting the Word of God does not answer the simple question about YOUR SPECIFIC ACTIONS in this life. If you are claiming ultimate purity . . . you are either the second coming or a liar . . . simple as that.

1Thes 4:15

Even in the KJV, the meaning is the same.
There is no pre-resurrection rapture.

I too would like to know how people think there is a pre-rapture when this verse is so plain?

We are all tempted with sin, even Jesus was; but, we are not to give into sin. If anyone gives into sin, then they are obeying their father, the devil. They're walking in the flesh.

(Romans 8:8) "So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God."

I would like to clarify. Battles of the mind and bad thoughts, so long as you don't embrace them, are not sin; they are temptations of the devil. He wants you to commit sin against God and he uses your thoughts to do it. He's a liar, and the father of lies.

When those bad thoughts come against you, apply God's word.

(2 Corinthians 10:5)"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"

Jesus would never tell us to do something that He would not give us the Grace to do.

(John 5:14) Jesus said, "... Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee."

He did not say "go and cut back on your sinning". No, He said "sin no more".

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. (John 8:34)

If you answer the question: NO, I have never sinned since being born again and that is indeed the truth then you are no hypocrite......If you have sinned and simply will not admit it then you are not being honest with forum members or yourself or with GOD.......I DO NOT TAKE SIN LIGHTLY and MORE IMPORTANTLY NEITHER DOES GOD since it cost the BLOOD OF CHRIST.....and I also question the doctrine of once saved always saved myself......according to scripture; It seems to me that we must obey and endure to the end......but without God's Grace it seems impossible....SO I ask again.....have you ever sinned after being "born again"

Blah, Blah, Blah . . . your continued evasiveness to direct questions seems to indicate you aspire to be a politician or you are one or . . . you simply cannot be truthful concerning your own failings. Which is it? Have you ever failed to combat the temptations since accepting Christ?

Greetings, sherryturner: Yes, the verse is very plain, but so many still miss the meaning.

Paul is talking to very specific people of HIS day about things that were going to personally happen to them and to him as well. That is the meaning of "WE." WE are not the YE! When Paul said "we who are alive and remain," he was talking about himself and those of his generation.

Is that not the plain meaning of the verse?
