If the skies above you are gray, You are feeling so blue,
If your cares and burdens seem great All the whole day thru,
There's a silver lining that shines In the heavenly land,
Look by faith and see it my friend, Trust in His promises grand.

Often we are troubled and tired, Sick with sorrow and pain,
There are others living in sin Blest with earthly gain,
Take new courage we cannot tell What tomorrow may bring,
When the dark clouds vanish away Then your heart truely can sing.

Oft we fail to see the rainbow Up in heaven's fair sky,
When it seems the fortunes of earth Frown and pass us by,
There are things we know that are worth More than silver and gold,
If we hope and trust Him each day, We shall have pleasure untold.

Sing and be happy Press on to the goal,
Trust Him who leads you, He will keep your soul:
Let all be faithful, Look to Him and pray,
Lift your voice and praise Him in song, Sing and be happy today.

Brother...did I need that today!

How about you ?

Another song we frequently sing in our assemblies:

Angry words! Oh let them never From the tongue unbridled slip;
May the heart's best impulse ever Check them ere they soil the lip.

Love is much too pure and holy, Friendship is too sacred far,
For a moment's reckless folly Thus to desolate and mar.

Angry words are lightly spoken, Bitt'rest tho'ts are rashly stirred,
Brightest links of life are broken, By a single angry word.

"Love one another", thus saith the Savior; Children, obey the Father's blest command;"Love one another", thus saiith the Savior; Children, obey His blest command.

Father, forgive me when I slip.....

I thank you for sharing...we need these always to remind us that "ALL" are not lost but in God's hands who is in control at the helm while we sail through the eye of the storm...

Blessings...

Hi y'all. I've been trying for years to find a hymn book with Sing and be happy in it. I remember this song from when I was little and went to church with my grandmother. It was one of her favorites and I would love to have the sheet music for the piano. Does anyoner know where I can find it? I'm an activity director at a nursing home and think that my residents would enjoy it also. [mod]delete[/mod]

From Psalms 98: 4-6...``Make a joyful noise to the Lord , all the earth make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise, sing to the Lord with a harp, with a harp, and a voice of a psalms. with trumpets , and a sound of cornet, make a joyful noise before the Lord , the King``..... See some of these verses from the Word of God are like revival songs of Worship
