I'm also interested to know. What are the difference/disagreements and also what are the similiarities between the Roman and Orthodox Catholic churches?

In the handbook of denominations in the United States, 11th edition, there are 7 entries under the heading of Catholic Churches. There are several entries for orthodox, but only one contains the word Catholic.

So, you could probally start an involved study on those topics. I recomend the handbook of denominations from the Abingdon Press as one reliable source of study.

I don't know much about the issue to be honest. I'll research it some and see what I can find.
