Sorry for not being biblically correct The greatest commandment is about love The living word of God is in my heart because I have read and lived it for so many years. It is not divided word by word into book, chapter and verse I rely on the Spirit often to choose my words..Had I wanted to quote scripture exactly, I would have , as I did in post #6

I think it is important Miss Blue to know the word and state it correctly. Love like anything else can be used incorrectly. Example: homosexuality, pedophilia, rape, etc. Also demonic spirits can speak to a christian as well as a non christian. That is why it is important to compare anything the spirit says to the word of God. Otherwise, even a well meaning christian can be deceived. It is good to hear and depend on the spirit, but we must always test the spirit against the word of God. This is called: testing the spirits. Something you should know by now. God bless.

I've read a couple of classic books that discuss why people are compared to sheep in the Bible... and why Jesus was the good Shepherd...

It's a very interesting subject....

Sheep are very timid animals... very easily frightened.

I once helped a friend who had lambs birthing... during that season, she got no sleep. She had to be available when the mother was ready to deliver. And, then we had to bottle feed the new born babies.

Sheep require more care and attention than any other farm animal... they need protection from their adversaries.

It makes you think of the kind of life that David must have lived.
