Mark Driscoll’s sermons are mostly too racy to post on GodTube, the evangelical Christian “family friendly” video-posting Web site. With titles like “Biblical Oral Sex” and “Pleasuring Your Spouse,” his clips do not stand a chance against the site’s content filters. No matter: YouTube is where Driscoll, the pastor of Mars Hill Church in Seattle, would rather be. Unsuspecting sinners who type in popular keywords may suddenly find themselves face to face with a husky-voiced preacher in a black skateboarder’s jacket and skull T-shirt. An “Under 17 Requires Adult Permission” warning flashes before the video cuts to evening services at Mars Hill, where an anonymous audience member has just text-messaged a question to the screen onstage: “Pastor Mark, is masturbation a valid form of birth control?”

I checked him out on you tube. I love this guy! He summed up pretty much how I feel about "religion"....what drove me from church was the do this don't do that mentallity. It was relentless at the UPC church.

I like Driscoll a lot, a bit of a dirty mouth but he preaches the gospel rightly.

Agree with ya Fundamentalist. He's outside the box, but orthodox...a perfect combo for me.

If the New York Times article is accurate,
he doesn't impress me.

Well of course if Fundy or myself agree with Mark Driscoll he must be evil. I think he is a pretty good preacher, he tells it like it is and backs it up with scripture.

I was joking because as we all know Fundy and myself are usually singled out as being too harsh by many around here. So just remember I was joking.

I do like the mans preaching, he makes sense and is pretty biblical about what he says.
