Yes it is. Gene Robinson is a vocal gay rights leader, and he will open President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration with a prayer on Sunday's kick-off event at the Lincoln Memorial. What do you think about an openly gay bishop praying at the inauguration?

I very much doubt God will be answering any prayers from the inauguration, but that's me.

It's like Obama assigning Madoff to be our nation's Treasury Secretary, and you telling all of the people WHO'S MONEY WAS STOLEN BY HIM to JUST DEAL WITH IT. But oh well! A gay bishop, who's openly practicing his homosexuality is WRONG.

Yeah, and he also has Rick Warren participating. Sounds like he's just making sure he reaches out to all types of Americans rather than being like Bush. But then I seriously doubt the far right fundies in this country ever want to compromise on anything.

Well, I think homosexuality is wrong, let alone an actively gay church leader...but as America is not an officially christian country, I truly don't care. It's his inauguration and he can make all the political overtures to all the different groups he wants. That's what this is, and that's what the Warren thing was about.

The great thing about this country is EVERYBODY has the right to be who they choose to be, to believe in what they choose to believe in. I find allot of remarks in these post as bigoted and hateful, I'm sure that The Christ would really be proud of you. It attitudes like this that gave us the Spanish Inquisition, the Medieval Inquisition and so on. I really does not matter if this minister is gay, black, white, catholic or what ever. I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find something about any person that offends you. Take the log out of your eye, before you try to remove the splinter out of anothers. We should be looking the traits that create unity in our fellow man instead of division, because, where you focus your thoughts so goes your power.

I don't know if you are Christian or not but if you are then you certainly lack discernment. I ask you to read your bible again and see if it supports your personal views. If you are not a Christian then disregard what I said. Soften your heart and put you trust in Christ.
