The verse you paraphrased/cited did not give them that authority.

Washington is largly over-run with liberal politicians. Public schools have become unfit for human participation, much less for Christian children. Political correctness has become a rule in the workplace, regardless of moral issues involved.

Would you agree that it's time for the real Christians to pull out of America? Even if we can't go to another country right away, would you consider relocating to another part of the country, as long as it would be a safe move?

I'd really like to hear from real Christians.
First, please don't let me stop you. Second, where to? You're gonna hate Europe, Canada, or Australia. Middle East? Africa?

Have a safe journey.

Know that translates to me that Jesus gave them authority over demons, authority to go out and do what Jesus told them to do, I did not say anything about walking on snakes.

We are to go among wolfs and preach the gospel, but God has given us authority over satan and demons. So when you get persecuted, that means that you are on the right path. Look at how they treated Jesus. So, what makes you think that life is going to be easy. We have it so hard, because he want to live holy, in a sinful world.
Uh, yeah, I think you did.

And Shawn is correct, we have the authority to tread, stomp, jump up and down, shout hallelujah, and praise God all at once if we so desire while rebuking Satan/serpents/snakes/demons. What kind of Spiritual battle can be fought without the weapons to fight????

Yea, I really dont want to argue over what God has given us as believers. All that I am saying is Jesus gives the authority to defeat demons. And I agree with DayoftheLord.
