I thought that I was starting a thread to GLORIFY our Father for sparing the lives of all of the passengers on the US Airways flight that safely crash landed into the Hudson River. Instead, I basically get ridiculed and attacked for PRAISING GOD and not the pilot for being a hero, which sorta surprised me since I was posting in a christianity forum. My thread ended up being closed and moved by the moderator, which I didn't mind at all after I got such a negative response.

Although I do believe that everyone has a right to his or her opinion, I do believe that it was straight out RUDE to tell me that because of my faith in GOD that I can't give Him His due praise when deemed necessary. But again, the news papers made it quite clear that some passengers prayed before the plane crashed into the water. Many news stations are reporting this event as MIRACULOUS. SO, NO MATTER HOW YOU WANT TO SEE IT, GOD ANSWERED THEIR PRAYERS. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I totally agree Antredd, the existence of God freaks them out even though they say different. They create their own God in their head that fits their way of thinking. That is when the claws and the fangs comeout. They get so sensitive when it pertains to the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

I agree antredd. It was inappropriate and rude for the atheists to attack you the way they did when you were posting on the Christianity forum. Let's have a bunch of Christians all descend on a thread in the atheist forum and see how they would react.

And I also agree that God did answer the prayers of those who were on that plane. Who knows, maybe one or two of the atheists that were on board might just change their mind and become believers as a result of what happened.

We can't know the reason why God would choose to spare this particular plane but would allow another one to crash. I like to say that God sees the whole tapestry while we see only a few stitches. In time, it will all be made clear.

Oh and great title for this thread!

Yes antredd it was rude and wrong the way you were treated in a Christianity forum, since the whole purpose of having it is avoid things like this. But remember God's Word does not return void it will accomplish what He wants and so will that thread!
