How many souls have you won over to Christ?
As I read a brothers post, he said something very provocative that got me thinking. In my short 16 years of being a christian, I had to ask myself how many people have I won over to the Lord. We are to be examples and live our lives in a way so that people who are watching us will want to have what we have, which is SALVATION through our faith in Jesus Christ alone. What do you think about christians winning souls over to Christ?

Zero.
However, we are a "link in the chain" for countless present and future who will come to Faith in Christ Jesus.

Another zero.
God is the power and the source behind any and all who come to Christ.
We are mere servants to His will and plan.

Zero.
I don't win anyone over. That is the work of the Holy Spirit in them. I am simply trying to be a messenger, a servant of my Lord to the best of my ability.

None of us are the ones who lead, it is God Himself, the work of His Holy Spirit....that draws all men unto Himself!
Like is was said earlier we are just His servants and a servant shares His love and mercy through the power of His Holy Spirit within that servant carrying to those the love, peace of God's word and kingdom.
I have had the opportunity on a couple occasions been blessed with His divine appointments to witness His Spirit taking the veil from a couple individuals hearts and revealing the truth of His gift of salvation and gave them the faith to obeyed the call and received Him into their lives. Praise His Holy name!!!
1Cor.3:6-7
I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.

i can see that many share my view. it is by the grace of God that I go. the holy spirit bears witness to the truth at the appropiate time. Getting caught in thinking you have somehow won a soul for Jesus is misguided, self righteous and the reason the "bible thumper" label gets applied.
you cannot imagine how offensive you become when your bad timing tries to catch someone in their sin,(of course you don't see your own) and you tell about the punishment etc etc ad infinitum... Read Acts to see how it was done. and see what the source was.

Amen.
God works through us and we are only His instruments. It's His work that draws individuals to Himself and we are a part of that work. God bless.
