It can be proven that all in the lake of fire called the second death will one day be saved. How so?
Look in Revelation. Christ is still reigning to the end of that book. There are kings (sovereignties, authorities and powers) in Revelation all the way to the end. Death is still going on in Revelation to its end. The apostle Paul saw beyond John's Revelation. This is proven in 1 Corinthians 15:22-28. Paul saw the day when:

Excellent analysis! One day ALL rule and authority will be put down, of course except for God the Father's almighty authority. Even those who are reigning in Rev 22:5 will not reign literally forever, because eventually their authority too must be put down and annulled.

Who is this thread for? can't be for Christians? since we hold on everyday to our salvation as the world laughs and mocks at us, hurts us physically, terrorizes us, brutalizes us but we can't be vendictive, we can't lash out, we can't even hate instead we MUST forgive. The more a person grows in holiness the worse the struggle becomes. Why do we go through such strife with the phyical, mental, spiritual as we buffet our bodies day in and day out to the point where we are longing to end this existence and be with Him. What was it all for?

Its so we will be made perfect Fundy. We are being tried in the fire, but will emerge as pure gold!

Its a metaphor, one which is used in scripture quite a bit.
Gold has impurities, flaws etc. The gold may be dirty, covered with wood or straw. It may be difficult to clean, and there is only one way to remove impurities. Put it in a fire. The dirt and debris will burn off. As the gold bubbles and turns to a liquid, the impurities float to the top and then can be removed (or are burned off).
Now, from the perspective of the gold, its probably not very fun. The gold has to go through fire, endure high temperatures and pressures. But the end result is worth it: 100% pure gold - perfection!
