Since this has been discussed a lot recently, I would love for everyone to just say which they agree with. I'm hoping Donna Kupp and Harold Kupp will participate so everyone can understand their beliefs, because I think there is a lot of confusion.
1. A TRUE CHRISTIAN can sin, but be sorry for that sin, and repent and confess their sin to God and be forgiven.
2. A TRUE CHRISTIAN cannot/will not/does not sin, period. If one does, they are a phony Christian.
Pretty simple. I'm not asking for scripture to back up your belief, just post which one is your belief. Thank you!

I responded to your post by the way of the difference.
A true Christian will sin because we are a fallen creation but that does not give us an excuse to sin. when we sin it is like spitting on the cross which is why we should be extremely sickened, saddened, sorrowful to understand how exceedingly sinful sin is so we should not sin. We do not repent because Jesus will have to die for us all over again, His death was sufficient and our sins are forgiven therefore forgiveness is granted by Him but we should confess our sins as true Christians.

So your choice is number 1, with the exception that you do not believe one has to repent. Correct?
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not.
We are a mixture of His seed and our carnality. When we sin (and we do), it's our flesh that still resides in us that is manifesting itself - the life of Christ that has been deposited in us is (still) pure.
We are to decrease as John the Baptist said, and that part of us that is subject to sin will be burned away. He then will increase, and His life in us keeps us free from the former things.

Actually your first question kinda contradicts itself because true Christians don't sin, to say otherwise would contradict the word of God. It is a little too subjective, too broad a statement.
