I had a discussion with someone in here about a low view of God when we describe Jesus with anything else that isn't in the bible. I say there is a danger when we do that. What do you think?

Marijuana can be eaten and is actually quite healthy. It also grows very easily and quickly, and can be used for incredibly resilient textiles as well as food and medicine. And it's basically the safest recreational drug known to man. Overdosing is impossible and it causes absolutely no permanent negative effects. With so many uses with so little drawbacks, if God exists, it really seems like he made the plant for us.

Yes and it is the same, because when we start calling Him cool in that context what else will it lead to? It leads to things like that
Okay, im just jumping in here...but there seems to be several issues going on in this one thread. Since when does token...mean the same thing as cool? And where do the ministers of God come into play with the "cool" factor?
Here is my opinion....(not that it matters) BUT...with saying Jesus is cool...i dont see an issue with it. Actually when your talking to young people, it speaks to them in their terms. "Hey you know Jesus is really cool...this is what he did...and this is what he says...ect ect ect"

Scripture please. That is your opinion. Saying Jesus is cool is FINE. It is not the same as a token Jesus or whatever it is.
Jesus is not cool, He's God. If you want to compare the Creator of the universe, He measures the universe by the span of his hand, holds the universe together by the power of His word as "cool" ok
