The cause of Churchians (or Bibleans) has nothing to do with "love of God and each other" or the Gospel of Christ or honesty or decency . . . it is rote proselytizing of false precepts and doctrines of men to promote the agenda of religion . . . NOT God or spiritual development.
Hmm maybe for some, I would not generalise so broadly though Mystic -- I have known some very loving "bibleans" -- for some maybe the end justifies the means...... you are right that some "bibleans" do sound harsh and unloving

Absolutely, spot on! One way to test your heart motive is to ask yourself: "Do I desire to control others with dogma, or am I motivated by the love which is pure and undefiled." If you really want to wield power over your brothers and sisters - you're on the wrong path.
My honest opinion on evaluating a person's spirituality - the condition/attitude of the heart is key. So glad God is not about giving out grace based on a dogma quiz whereby you get into heaven on a technicality.
God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.
I am talking specifically. What are the doctrines of a false prophet?
Anything that teaches salvation without belief in Christ is false.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
And anything which adds to it by saying it is not necessary to believe now, because you can believe after you die is false.
Study the word, and you will know false from real. That is the only defence against false teachings.
They will come to you saying that "feed the hungry, and love you neighbor", but leave out the most important message of salvation and the need for personal relationship with Christ. In doing that they tell you only a part of the truth, and that changes the message.
Galantians 1:7 “Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.”
Galantians 1:9 “If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!”

A false teacher is anyone who lacks the spiritual annointing of the spirit of God. If one does not have the spirit of Christ within, they are of the spirit of Anti-christ due to lacking the Christ.
This would be much of the Christian world of today who build on a book that is nothing more than fragments of recorded history. One must come to the Christ if they are to have life and lead others to life for only a true witness delivers souls. A false witness only sows discord among brethren due to telling lies.
Once your Eternal Soul is re-united to the spirit of God, Then and only then will one be able to speak truth about God from God for those of the truth hear God's voice. The rest are simply content with reading from the historical fragmeted recordings of the past about the men who were of the truth and heard God's voice of truth.
A false teacher is one who seeks to reapply, redefine, retranslate, rework, or discount any word of the Bible from the complete whole word of Christ.
The Bible is Christ. All 66 books, every verse, every chapter....
They mimic their father and say, "ye hast God said?" or "Has God indeed said?" (Genesis 3:1) They declare false prophecy or future and God clearly states they have no part in Him and you will know their false prophecies by their words, but more importantly you will know they are false by the fact their predicitions do not come true. In the Old Testament they were stoned in the New Testament they exist under judgement not knowing theirs is one of coming execution. They deny it claiming God is not love if he executes His eternal word, not knowing their father claimed the same excuse.
They deny the Bible with shifty terms and feigned attempts at wisdom. They claim to be angels of light not knowing their father does the same thing.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of reighteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
Those who claim anything other than the exact truth of the Bible the very word of Christ, we are told to withdraw from for they are not of us.
1 Timothy 6:3-5 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to the wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the doctrine which accords our godliness he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.
They deny the literal words of Christ. They are jealous of you taking the name of Christian and claiming a Master not theirs. They went to preach words Christ has not said declaring it as His truth. They remove from the whole a part, twist and reinsert it like children putting a square into a circle.
But in the end they have bought into the age old lie and they declare it loudly, "You shall surely not die....." not understanding the Biblical definition of the first death versus the second death. The first being a seperation of the spirit from the body and the second being the spirit and body seperated eternally from God.
But their words are the words of the world which declares, "you shall surely not die!"
They are the words of the deciever, they are the words of the world, but more importantly they are the words of the false prophet. The logical progression of a world created in perfection regressing furthur and furthur from God.
The Bible is the word of Christ. His words are His nature. Deny the literalness of the Bible and you deny Christ. You declare Him to be a liar and He will cast you out to that which you deny.
Claim the true Christ today for the time is short you still have the choice. There is yet time. He is still calling you as you hide in your iniquity. He is asking, "Where are you?" He is begging you to come out. He calls you as he has called Adam in the garden....
Isaiah 1:18-20 "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red as crimson, They shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebell, You shall be devoured by the sword"; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
May the Lord God Jesus Christ find you in Truth!
P.S. The Lord God Jesus Christ is a "Biblian". If you are accused of being one take heart, your Master was accused of being the same thing everytime He quoted the scriptures to the Pharisees. You can read about it in the four gospels and it echos across all the epistles culminating in the seperations of the accusers of the world from the children of God! He carried thier accusations to the cross and bore their words so that they too might be called children of God. The choice remains, make it today!

A good post Aschultz. There are so many who deny that the Bible is the Word of God. And who deny the deity of Jesus. There is much deception afoot in the world today. And many who think they know Jesus Christ, do not know Him at all. And He doesn't know them. Matthew 7:23; Luke 13:22-27.

I have been away as my classes have been a bit more difficult, but my brothers and sisters are never far from my heart. I think about them everyday! But more importantly I yearn to see the false teachers come to Him! We must never forget to extend the invitation He gave us to others so that might know the beauty, justice, and majesty of the Most High God!
