Not only does God never forbid polygamy.
God commands it at times.
God portrays Himself as a polygamist in the Bible [see above passages]
Jesus endorsed it.
And the doctrine of Christ Jesus includes that Christ also practices it.

Ok, so let me see if I get this right. Polygamy in God's mind is STILL allowed if necessary. If he now strictly forbids it, when did he start forbidding it?

If you ask me, can polygamy be allowed in some cases? maybe I don't know but I just cannot imagine there is no other option in this day and age with women's rights/ protection etc..... I know of no verse where God prohibits polygamy nor forbids it. The question for every Christian in everything we do like smoking, drinking etc....is, does it honor God?

Christians don't think like that. We trust Christ that in everything he does or allows is good because He is good even in the bad times example "Job" your favorite story . It not about us, it's all for Him.

You don't wonder why the Christian women on this site are avoiding this topic like the plague? I'm not so sure they ' don't think like that.'

I happen to love love love this thread.
I think polygamy should be made legal in this country...I do not think God banned it.
Now, my husband had better NEVER...
