You can go to any Christian bookstore and buy volumes of sermons. What's the problem?

The concept that a sermon has to be different looks like another crack in the base of Protestantism. It does NOT have to be different. It has to be correct and accurate to God's truth. If a previously created sermon is accurate and moving, then for God's sake, repeat it! Just give credit where credit is due.

Credit is due to the One who inspires the sermon.

Haven't you studied the sermons of Billy Graham? of Charles Stanley? of any of the really great pastors of history? don't bust the chops of a preacher if what he is saying is bringing people to the alter.

Pragmatism is running rampant among Christians today.

You've been a Christian less than a year and now you are telling us what pastors should and shouldn't do?

So when you got saved I guess God just revealed everything about Him and His ways to you so you could go out and educate all of us 'bad Christians'.

The Fallacy Detective

These Pastors are leading us to believe they experienced this as a child, false stories which IS lying. They are shepherds who have ran out of relevant, radical concepts to teach the flock so they resort to buying sermons, maybe if they just preach what's in the bible, spend more time studying and praying then the Holy Spirit can guide them to a new sermon every week.

Maybe it just to make a point. A lesson. The impact of the lesson might decrease if it they knew it wasn't his.
