A few thoughts--this is from the cult Christian Science Monitor. Let's also not lump all evangelicals or evangelical churches in with "mega-churches." We should also note that the Bible talks about a great falling away (apostasy), so it is not just evangelical churches being affected in the falling away, but all churches. Christ will not return until the falling away occurs, so we should not be surprised by any decrease in Christian religious ratios compared to other religions as a whole.

So you are saying socialism and communism are "Christian-like"?? The freedoms we have in this country (at least freedoms that founded America which are slowly eroding with our push to fascism) are the epitome of God given rights as humans. Let us not forget this:

And then there is the Roman Catholic Church. I kind of like that one. Mega churches typically tell folks what they want to hear. That is, that the road is wide and so is the gate. Jesus's Church teaches timeless truth. Sometimes they tell you exactly what you don't want to hear, but hearing and living the truth is exactly what you need. It's kind of like that quote from the movie "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson. He said to his sons, "Aim small, miss small!"

Truth. Jesus said the gates of hell will not prevail against it. So that's why I am a Roman Catholic. I used to be Lutheran. Close, but no cigar.

I agree with you about most mega-churches. They are ear-ticklers and many teach a false gospel.

p.s. The gates of hell will not prevail against the Body of Christ, not any particular religion or denomination.

Cause I'm pretty sure he was talking about the church he started, making Peter the earthly head.
