Le Jeune, thank you for explaining the background. Very interesting. I love that it is a family thing as well.

onegod4ever is on a distinguished road
Scripture states that a man can marry a non-christian woman if she is willing to accept salvation through him. To what extent living a christian life that means is undefined. Whether she must fully convert, go to church... or simply to accept that he believes in Christ, and she will get to Christ through his faith.
I think the key is she must accept it. Accepting it with words and one's heart God will know the difference.
The bible states that if she will not accept salvation through her husband then they cannot be married.

Yes while that may be true, these are also what I would call words of wisdom. think about it , if you marry while you both are non-believers that is different one gets converted and love the partner in spite of. but you are kind of setting yourself up for failure. because you are physically attracted to each other... what does an unbeliever have in common with someone that believes.
it's like oil and water, unless one or the both are wavering and compromising.
hot one day cold the next. But when one is sold out for Christ or Belial, they
would rather be in the company of those of like minds
Jus my take
God Bless You

"What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?" What does it profit a believer to be marry an unbeliever? Nothing... If a believer falls in love and marries an unbeliever, who will lead? Possibly the unbeliever. However, if the blind lead... both will fall into a pit. What profit is that? The wisdom contained in the Bible is sound. Believers or Christians benefit when they heed that wisdom and suffer adverse consequences when they do not. Jesus knows best!

Because, we all know "true" love knows no boundaries. With true love also comes respect/tolerance/sacrifice for the other individual's tendencies.

It's not like "if your love is true, you must relinquish your religion and submit to mine". That kind of attitude is selfish and chauvinistic. It's manipulative.

Laugh of the day! Thanks Tony! I needed a good chuckle! Now excuse me while I go worship my animal alien devices!
