1. Bible says all the men of Sodom came out both young and old. Were they all homosexuals? That doesn't really make sense in my head as how would they even have a town? There wouldn't be a town cause well.. you get the idea. So all the men realistically couldn't have been homosexuals.
2. So the mob shows up and Lott knows the men right? I mean if he thought they were homosexuals does that mean he was being sarcastic in offering up his daughter? I mean honestly.. angry mob outside my house and I'm not going to be in a sarcastic mood. So it doesn't sound really like a "homosexual mob" but .. just your plain ol run of the mill mob..
3. Why was the mob so upset? Why did all the men young and old show up at Lotts house? Was it just a pissed off mob of people who saw a couple strangers in town and go to Lotts house?
4. Lott saw the strangers as angels.. but the mob didn't. They said send the men who came to you tonight. They didn't say "send out the angels".. So was there something the mob saw in the strangers that pissed them off?
So I'm confused I guess... as to what the sin of sodom was.
Again.. the thread here.. not a debate on homosexuality. Its a debate (for lack of better word) on the sins of Sodom.

The town was extremely wicked, they were sodomites (bi), fornicators and adulterers. They did not keep their domains

In those days it was customary to invite strangers in your homes, Lott knew who they were and told them do not sleep outside, it was too dangerous so he offered his place, when the men came in order "to know" the strangers. Lott did the unthinkable not mention reprehensible and offered his virgin daughters to appease the men but they rejected and demanded he send out the good looking strangers

They said to Lott, send out the strangers so that we might "know them"

The men told Lott they were angels and they must leave because God was going to destroy the city. The angels were in human form primarily males because for some reason angels always appear as men in human form. The people of the city saw these different men arrive and I could imagine the buzz all around the city of the new strangers. I would assume they were good looking and fresh looking not to mention new.
For thousands of years the word sodomy was very clear and it originated from the city of sodom, it has only been a hundred years that we changed the meaning of the word.
So all the towns men (both young and old) were either homosexual or bisexual?
Just seems like a far fetched conclusion.
The city was wicked, they were perverted in every way including the women and children which is why God passed judgment on them and didn't allow any of them to escape. God told Abraham that if he could find 10 righteous men He would spare Sodom
sodomy was the least of their problems, they were rotten people just rotten dishonest lustful and plain mean but had plenty of money.
does any of this sound familiar.
does not sound much like the tune "america the beautiful" does it.
the hirarious part is when you say this everybody looks behind them to see who you are talking to.
god is laughing in the aisles.

There was a pagan tradition of the time to anally rape new comers and strangers to make sure they did nopt become haughty and believe they were better than the towns folk. It was also used to stop strangers from coming and taking away their women.
As for Sodoms sin I believe it is covered several times in scripture. The were very fleshly thinking people, carnal to the core, any pleasure of the flesh was fair game to them and homosexuality was a favorite. Now as for the money, we do know that the love of money is wrong. Idolotry of any kind is wrong and Sodom was overflowing with idolotry. They had not love for God.
