There is so much wrong with the literalist fundamentalist understanding that it would be impossible to address it all. The reason they are foreign to modern sensibilities is because they were written for and by primitive carnal minds not remotely similar to ours about conditions and issues not remotely similar to those that exist today.

ummm that is a distinction without a difference. What would you know of Jesus apart from the Bible?

It is impossible for Robin or anyone else to fail in converting people because we have no authority and therefore no responsibility.

Robin has both authority and responsibility to warn people who do not obey God they will be destroyed on judgment day. Since you do not obey Gods commandments he has rightly warned you.

Ezekiel 33:12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

Waffle, squirm and wiggle as you will - the Biblical conclusion is - you do not keep Gods commandments! You have been warned.

HK

Ezekiel 3:21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned;

This says... a lot. Is it time for a rebuke?

I think he has a point, there is very little outside of the Bible about Christ. You have the gnostics, the early church fathers, the Quran, Josephus, the talmund, but much of this is false information that doesnt even relate to the trut Christ. Of course the early church fathers quoted scripture enough for us to construct a NT, but if you really look at it pretty much the entire NT is found in the OT.
