Hi there, I come in peace, I promise. This thread is not whether you are "Pro-Life" or "Pro-Choice" and whether it is right or wrong. I am curious as to how you guys (Pro-Lifers and Christians) decide WHEN it becomes wrong. Please use specific terms and not ambiguous phrases.
At what stage in the process of sexual reproduction is the cutoff line between right and wrong?
For instance, is it wrong to wear a condom, thus preventing the sperm from reaching the egg? Sex, according to God, is meant for procreation. Would wearing a condom be considered a form of abortion?
Or is it when:
-When the sperm first enters the vagina?
-When the sperm penetrates the egg?
-3 hours after this?
-4 weeks after this?
-10 weeks after this?
I am just looking for the cutoff line as to 'when' it becomes wrong. And also, can you justify this position using scripture? Again, I am not trying to incite anything negative. I am just curious as to how you arrived at your exact position. Thanks!

And yes, As a Catholic, we view contraception as a moral evil.
I realize the government will spend every nickel it gets, but hypothetically 57 million more workers paying into the system would benefit us all - not to mention the entrepreneurs, inventors, etc. from that class.

Another vote for conception, when the sperm meets the egg and it becomes an embryo.

No...by wearing a condom you're not killing anything, you're just not letting it happen in the first place. God also meant for sex to be enjoyable, otherwise He wouldn't have made it so.

I vote for when the sperm penetrates the egg.
