I'm 41, French but have lived in the UK for over 20 years ( 3 years in the US before that). I have been living very happily with the Love ( and sometimes bane) of my life for over 20 years and am getting married in October in Maine. Atheist, Idealist and pessimist all at once. I am a stress-bunny who tends to see only the darker side of life whilst hoping for the best if that makes any sense.

Archaeologist/Anthropologist by trade my main interests are travel, Art and cultural activities. I am a avid Theatre fan , love the Cinema, Opera , Music and Architecture and am also a big fan of Wildlife. I cannot imagine life without books . Reading is to me what water is to a fish.

I have a fascination with politics and current affairs though my mental well being dictates I stay away from the Politics forum or I might implode.

I am impatient but am working on it , I wish I could be more "Zen" but it really is not me.

My daughter's first birthday is today, but we celebrated yesterday. Here are two pics of her... BBC and ABC (before birthday cake, and after birthday cake!!)

Denverian, I hope your day has turned out great, with no rain!
