What sets you apart from the world?

I was just thinking also...Many of my friends know that my marriage is not good. But I am here because I believe this is where God wants me to be. I think that is a witness to others that I trust God to be in control even when the circumstances don't appear very good in the world's eyes. My husband is very nice but we live as roommates. The last five years have been difficult for me but I am trusting that God has a plan and a purpose in this...I ask God to give me a good attitude, even joy, and to be loving toward him when he shows no love toward me.

Thinking, living and acting as Jesus would in this world where most do not do likewise (especially so many who proclaim to be Christians.) The injunction not to "cast pearls" is relevant to practical survival and minimum aggravation . . . though here at C-D I ignore it. The example of Jesus is so unambiguous even unto torture and death that it makes the ignorant and mindless merger with the descriptions of God in the OT "inconceivable" (as Vizzini would say).

Although I'm in awe of the wonders of this world, and the things mankind has accomplished,

and have tasted many of the fruits,

I worship the creator,... not the created.
