that is the one thing the church cannot reconcile to their theology NO MATTER HOW HARD THEY TRY. They can twist scripture till judgement day but ALL the GLORY goes to God and God alone.

I agree, spm62. Thanks and God bless.

Amen. God bless.
Totally the Truth......God bless

What do you think? and scripture would be nice. Thank you
We make a choice, to choose to accept or not!!

He just was.

I came to be.

Something transpired in an undefinable togetherness.

God knew us before we were even born, so how can we know about God when we didn't even know who He was.

God takes the initial step first by calling us unto Himself and then you have the choice to come to Him if you like. God does choose us and we just respond and come to Him, but many reject His invitation.

Well, Miss Blue, none of know much.

Jesus was indeed speaking to His disciples (whom He chose at the beginning), but I assure you the principle stands for every disciple: you did not choose Me.

The Lord's chose is "from the foundation of the world" before any of us could breath a breathe.

Note: "Chosen beforehand in accordance with Him whose might..."

Quote:
He has made known to us the secret of His will. And this is in harmony with God's merciful purpose for the government of the world when the times are ripe for it--the purpose which He has cherished in His own mind of restoring the whole creation to find its one Head in Christ; yes, things in heaven and things on earth, to find their one Head in Him. And you too, who in Him were made heirs, having been chosen beforehand in accordance with the intention of Him whose might carries out in everything the design of His own will.

I beleive god definitelty chose each person but that doesn't mean that the person will listen. The devil is very strong and many don't.Jesus talks about his appearing before people and that he will not appear to many and they are more blessed for their faith without seeing as many did.He often talks about them seeing but still not believing constantly in the bible.
