In a lot of Old Testament references it was representative of the hand, often the number was a type of item made for man's use.

In the New Testament, 10 was the whole (a group), and five would represent one side or passing/failing grade, etc.

5 is the number of 'GRACE"

Jesus has 5 letters. Grace has 5 letters, In Isiaiah 9: 6 Jesus has 5 names !!

The old testament temple was built from blocks of stone that were 5 x 5 x 5

We are the new temple, Paul give us 5 offices of the edification of the saints.

In John chapter 5.. Jesus met the man who could not walk. first he administered grace by speaking 5 words to him.. then to make him whole or complete he spoke 7 words. !! the # for completeness !!

0 = the empty set

1 = {0}

2 = {0,1}

3 = {0,1,2}

4 = {0,1,2,3}

5 = {0,1,2,3,4}

At least that is what I learned in graduate school.

Cool. I have a bit of a fascination with numbers as well.
I think everything has both a sacred and a profane/occult side to it. I prefer the sacred meanings

The bible is fraught with numbers, i.e., 3 and 12...fascinating indeed!
