sorry guy its the new christian. the stuff you said was about the old christian.
the new christian believes in tattoos, blackwater, and meaningful relationships.
he worships 3 gods instead of 1
god of the office, called bottom line
god of the home called harmony at any cost
god of the church called impression management
...And we're off - back to the core debate to which every thread eventually devolves.
I apologize, June, if I misinterpreted your post. Given your previous post, I assumed you were simply illustrating what you had said previously about tone.
I agree with your intended point, as it is the core of my point in every thread!
I don't see where I did not act respectful to you, even just focusing on the bolded text.
You supported a personal attack against me and I pointed that out, asking why you would jump to such a conclusion when you have never had one interaction with me on this forum.
I explained your assumptions about my path - being of the world - were false and attempted to explain to you some of my personal journey. I never made a judgment about your journey.
And your post did sadden me. So be it.
Where in this reply to Ilene Wright does it say Bluefly?

I was replying to and agreeing with her post that the sub-christian forum in general being returned back to R&P....! Nothing about Bluefly!!!
Post #48. She quoted two of my posts and then went on to launch a series of vitriolic personal attacks against me.
Read for yourself.
You gave support to her attacks, and therefore for everything awful she said about me.
If that was not your intention, in the future be sure to read everything and designate which aspects you support.
It was very hurtful, and not actions I believe Christ would support.
Well I don't know what too say!!
Because really I haven't read any of your post to be honest!! And I choose not to read some peoples post for very good reasons.....not stating that about you....but I do filter these days what I read....and Christ will support that!!!
Again.....I was responding and supporting her in that this forum being returning back to R&P! That is the last time I will say that....
I can't help it if one seems to be reading into something that isn't there!!
Very few people are willing to speak the truth. If you can't stand the sting of truth, then get out of the Christianity sub-forum!!
Bluefly, do we need to go back and quote all of the nasty, self-righteous posts by you directed at anyone who disagrees with you? Nothing that I said was a personal attack and no one is disagreeing with what I said except you and Elmer. That should tell you something.

Why is the spiritual path you walk "the truth" and mine "self-righteous"? If you have proof of such, I would be excited to see it.
You share your journey and I share mine. If you find my take on life self-righteous and yours not, then I don't know what to say. Perhaps a plank must be removed.
Why can't your truth just be your path that you wish to share with others and mine be mine? In so doing, we are capable of finding our common experiences in Christ and God regardless of dogma.
Anyway, considering that you interpreted my celebration of another poster's journey beyond alcoholism as "nasty", I can only imagine how many other love-based posts you interpret as such.
Perhaps I should find another venue for reflections of journeys in Christ's love. Attacking people and then pretending it's for our own good does not count.
Blessing, ILNC! Your post always brings such a smile to my heart.....coon girl!
And I enjoy your posts too fellow Coon Sister!
