I couldn't get the link to work, however, I will make a comment, based on the title line of the OP.
If evangelical Christianity is the right way to believe, (in other words, it has God's blessing), then is it actually possible for it to "die", which is the implication when we are told that evangelical Christianity is "fighting for it's life"? And, if it is possible, then how can it be the right way to believe? This would seem to give us a dichotomy of no small proportion.
I am not making light of Christians with an evangelical/fundamentalist mindset. I used to be an evangelical/fundamentalist, myself, at one time, so I do understand where they are coming from. I am merely making an observation, that if evangelical Christianity, as commonly understood, and practiced in our society, does indeed have God's blessing, then nothing that man can do will ever cause it permanent harm. God can, presumably, protect his own.

The church has God's blessing not any denomination. The church knows the one truth. God will never allow the truth to die and as long as truth remains the church remains.

Then, presumably, the church has nothing to worry about. So, it doesn't really matter what might, or could, happen to any individual denomination, or any movement, (evangelical Christianity, or otherwise), within the church.
