I believe that in the context of the post you referenced, saved and elect are one in the same.

No one can believe Christ died for their sins if they are not chosen to believe first. Believing that is proof of your salvation.

Quest for truth is one of the most absurd things i have read on this Forum.

Sounds like something from Monty Pythons Holy Grail.


Infact i would say the only one who is on some sort of quest is God Himself , just like the way He sought after Paul on the road to Damascus ,i believe He is on a quest after us to knock us off our religious high horses.

The ELECT is the true Church of God. Jesus said this group is only a small flock... I guess that rules out many traditional churches calling themselves Christians. Several times the Bible describes them as those who keep the Commandments and have the Testimony of Jesus Christ. Keeping the 10 Commandments includes the Sabbath, the 7 Feast of the Lord, not making graven images of God, and the rest of the 10. Having the Testimony of JC means accepting him as your personal Lord and Savior.
