rom 5:

12Wherefore, as by one man [adam] sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned[in adam]:

For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

This is an vitally important truth in scripture, a very gospel truth, that the aposlte took time to teach in his presentation of the gospel of God..rom 1:

1Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

Now this is important because until this truth is taught one spiritually, then there is never going to be a understanding of what paul means by, that christ died for our sins..according to scripture..and the significance of it..

By federal union, it is meant that covenant or representative union which is there between a head and its members in Gods estimation, that existed with christ and his elect, before any believing took place, and which is the foundation of future vital or experiential union with him..

Just like the union which existed with adam and the elect, before any personal sinning took place in the individual lives of the elect..

Now there is a sense by which the elect are not in christ until and following the effectual call..thats why we have verse like rom 16:

7Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellow-prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

This merely means, one was converted out of darkness first and translated into the kingdom of light, or Gods dear son as in col 1:

13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

You see, even the elect are first born into this world under the power of darkness, and remain that way until in due time, God causes us to be born again..this entails then our vital, living time union with Jesus christ..

But there is another type of union, which existed between Jesus christ and his elect, by which in every step of this mediatorial union [representative] that in every action of His obedience according to his obedience in redemption, when he obeyed, the elect obeyed [as when adam disobeyed, they disobeyed] when he died, the elect died [2 cor 5;
14For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: ]

and when he arose, they arose with him [see eph 2:5-6]

This union is the foundation of all the spiritual benefits which the elect recieve from the death of christ..thats why paul writes eph 1:

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

This is the foundation of the federal representative union, being chosen in christ before the wordl began..also, even though the words of scripture never literially say this, but inference is surely there, and that is, the elect too were chosen to be in adam as well, else we would not have sinned when he sinned..

And just as our union [election in adam] with adam was the foundation for all the spiritual death and alientaion we experience in life..so too the election in christ before the foundation, is the foundation for all the spiritual blessings we experience afterwards in this life and the life to come..

This is what I mean by federal union and this is a gospel truth..and later by Gods grace, i will demonstrate this union further..

As paul continues to teach the truth of federal headship, as its a gospel truth, he has introduced the two adams, as covenant or federal heads of a seed, remember adam was a figure of him who was to come, the Lord Jesus christ rom 5:

14Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come. NIV

Paul declares the union of the first adam and all his progeny, so that when he sinned or disobeyed, they too sin or disobeyed in him, and when he committed the offence, Judgment came upon them, because of the federal union with him rom 5:

18Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. NIV

Note: Its important at this point to interject the truth, that the actual legal courtroom condemnation [Gods verdict] was imputed to Jesus christ [2 cor 5:19]

Now again adam was a figure or pattern of him to come, as adam and his seed stood and fell together, so it was with the Son of God, Jesus christ and his seed..who obeyed God together.Just like when the one head had offened, the offence came upon all men [in adam] whom he represented[before they had actual being], so likewise, when the second or last adam obeyed, righteousness [Justification of life] came upon all men, whom he represented [before they had actual being]..

Now where the antichrist ministers get their ammunition from from is the fact, that although, all those whom christ represented and brought upon them Justification of life, superceding the condemnation in adam, which was imputed to christ charge any way, nevertheless God has ordained that we the elect [those whom christ has justified] are still born first naturally in order to experience the spiritual effects of our fall in adam our natural head..hence we are born out of fellowship with God, without His Holy Image, however the legal condemnation has still been transfered to christ [2 cor 5 19], so that even while we are by nature, enemies of God [He not our enemy for He still Loved us in that condition] we had been reconciled to God by the death of His Son. so there was no legal condemnation for the elect while we were in unbelief and enemies in our mind through wicked works, because christ had been our surety..

hence paul writes rom 5:

10For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

Paul is plainly saying that while the elect were enemies by nature, we had been Justified by Gods Son..rom 8:

34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

The Justification of Gods elect, depends soley on Jesus christ who died..not anything else, even the subjective work of the Holy Ghost which will come later to all the Justified ones, that christ intercedes for..

So now vital Justification [that which each elect] experiences in time by the new birth from above..The elect come to experience this by virtue of having been in our federal head Jesus christ, just like we come to experience vital condemnation and sinfulness because of our federal union with adam..

But the antichrist ministers, compltely nullify the effectiveness of the vicarious death as the sole means of Justification unto life [Justification before God], and place it at the hands of a subjective experience of God given Faith [which is an act of obedience] which the elect recieve at newbirth..which act leads to gospel obedience or the obedience of faith, as described in rom 16:

26But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

1 pet 4:

17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

2 thess 1:

8In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

rom 6:

17But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Now all these scriptures gives us to understand that Faith is an act of obedience, an adherence to a command 1 jn 3 :23, so hence, no matter how the calvinist, the reformed, or whatever, those teaching that Justification before God is not until a demonstration of faith or an act of obedience of faith, they are rejecting Justification [before God] by the obedience of the ONE, which is what paul teaches rom 5:19b

19For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

So its by the obedience of One [Not two] shall many [the many] shall be made righteous..and 18B

18Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one[Not Two] the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

The free gift came upon [by impution] by the righteousness [obedience] of one not two..

Not Jesus obedience plus gospel obedience by the regenerated sinner, then that would contradict paus first declaration, that justification and righteousness is by the obedience of ONE..

And the anti christ ministers and followers cant see this truth..because God has blinded them to believe a lie.

The calvinist and reformers who deny this Justification by ONE and insist that its by two, also they deny election, and show they dont really understand it, because if they did, they would then understand that the elect were in christ, having been chosen in him before the world began, they were in him when lived, died and rose from the grave, and upon rising with him, they as he was, declared Justified..rom 4:

25Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Jesus christ rising from the grave, having bore the iniquties of all the elect, his rising shows that God acquitted of the guilt he bare for the sins of the elect, which had been imputed to him..His acquital[Justification] was made manifest by his rising from the grave, hence, demonstrating that the elect for which died are too, acquitted and Justified in Gods courtroom..

All this by the Obedience of ONE no Two

So the calvinist who deny this, overthrow Justification by christ, as well as deny election in christ..and they are teaching a false accursed gospel..

In light of the gospel truth of federal headship, paul states rom 5:

19For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

BTW, shall be made is in the future tense and passive voice in the original, so the apostle cannot possibly have the action or future obedience of another in mind, though it would be something that would occur in their lifetime..so it remains that the cause of this being made righteous, was the obedience of the One and not two..

Now this springs from the truth of federal headship , of what paul is preaching to them at rome in this epistle, for unless union existed at the time of adams sin, Gods righteousness would not have allowed that sin

was imputed to all men, and christ suretyship not be necessary, however death did reign, even over them [babies] who did not sin after the simlitude of adams transgression..Babies die not for their own personal transgression in time, but their sin in adam their head..this of course is limited to elect babies, for non elect babies [if there are any] they sin in their head the devil..

So because of the union sustained with the first adam, we sinned, likewise the union we sustianed with the second adam [by election] when He obeyed, righteousness is imputed to all them who obeyed in Him, though it was not personal obedience, for we personally did not yet exisit, as we did not personally exisit when we disobeyed in adam..

The elect in our persons now, we never obey Gods law perfectly, are obedience to Gods Law is still in Gods eye, our obedience we have by our federal connection with christ when he obeyed..oh what a great blessing..

Now it is taught in scripture that christ and his people are one, he is the head, we the members his body..1 cor 12:

12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

So in the Law of Justice, they [the elect members] were one with Jesus christ when he obeyed, died, and rose..lets cp isa 26:

19Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Now eph 2:

5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)

6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

it is being illustrated the fact, of the elect being members of christ body, flesh of his flesh, and bone of his bone [see eph 5:30], so that by [federal union] they did die with him and arose with him..

This appears even more when we consider the words together with [in isa 26:19] are a supplement in the original hebrew, and so the reading would be:

Thy dead men shall live, even my dead body shall they arise...

Thats enlightening, because jesus recognized the elect as his body, even when we were dead, dead in sin..he still says my dead body

The NT equivalent eph 2:

4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us

5Even when we were dead in sins [unregenerated, in unbeief ], hath quickened [made alive] us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)

6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:[our federal head]

This truth really destroys any concept of freewill and Justification because of gospel obedience, faith or believing in time..

That this belongs to federal union is clear, for believers are not yet exalted in our own persons, to sit in heavenly places, but we do have a representive exisitence in christ [our federal head], this is true even before we are born into the world personally as sinners..

Also with this in mind [federal union], believers are said to be crucified with christ, dead with him, buried with him, and justified with and in him, and rasied up together with him..this was our Justification before God made manifested according to rom 4:

25Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

The false teachers, say, and this mostly the so called calvinist and refformed faith, they falsely teach, that faith , as in gospel obedience is what make manifest the Justification the elect have before God, instead of christ resurrection..those who say that, are guilty of a false gospel..for they insist on Justification before God by Two and not by ONE, Jesus Christ the Righteous..
