Close, but not quite.

We don't hate those that sin. We do hate sin and iniquity though. We (Christians) believe in the lake of fire. We do read our Bible and go to church.

If you are a Christian, you will also believe the same things.

It not only should be evident in how we treat each other . . . it does NOT exist if it is not evident in how we treat each other. The self-congratulatory "beliefs" that emanate from our mouths are a sounding brass . . . if not clearly evident in our "LOVE of God and of each other." We are God's enemy . . . if we promote fear that destroys LOVE in each other and divides us. Love is incompatible with fear, period. Be concerned about the negative consequences of our failure to attain the loving "state of mind" Jesus commanded . . . because as with all failures there are negative consequences.

But there is NOTHING to fear from God. Wrath and jealousy are HUMAN traits born of our ego and weaknesses. God has NO weaknesses. Violate God's laws . . . like gravity and there are consequences . . . but not punishments . . . and NOTHING is designed to torment or torture or punish . . . simply to correct our failures and stupid errors (like walking off a 30 story building in defiance of gravity).

How do I know the way I feel about my children, or my grandchildren is love? Because they are a part of me...My blood runs through them, when I look at them I see many things of myself.."Me in them, and them in me." Christ is in me as Christ is in God.They were brought into this world out of love, out of longing to share my self in the most intimate way, because I had a desire, a longing, a need I could find no exact word for, except love, out of a love in the purest form this side of heaven to recreate myself..

(imho) There is no universal answer to this question..the answer lies deep within each of us..in the place He created within us that desires and nourishes us to love..
