Well, we were all a-twitter over July 11 but Anyway, is it possible we had the date wrong all the time????? Now comes this:
Thirty days prior to Rosh Hashanah are the days of repentance beginning on Elul 1. These 30 days are in preparation for the judgment of the coming high holy days: Rosh Hashanah & Atonement. The eighth day of Tabernacles is actually a separate holiday unto itself. Shemini Atzeret literally means "the assembly of the eighth (day).
This year Shemini Atzeret is Saturday, October 10, 2009. This could very well be the start date of the 7 year tribulation. 2520 days from this day is Elul 1, 2016. 2550 days from this year's Shemini Atzeret is Rosh Hashanah 2016 which is Monday, October 03. These are two key day counts spanning the Tribulation period.
It is exactly 90 inclusive days from today to October 10, 2009. Although I tend to think that God's mercy will extend to the very last minute, the Rapture could occur anytime between now and the start of the Tribulation.
Should we get all excited all all over again for Feast of Tabernacles ! It's just a few short (and hot) months away!!!
Go ahead and get excited, but you will probably live in a constant state of excitement. After that date passes there will be another and another ad infinitum.
Well, if 2009-2016 is indeed the last 7 yrs... the event to watch for is the 7-yrs covenant confirmed by the Prince (future AC) before the Feast of trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) on Sept 19, 2009. I don't think it is the rapture date... because the Bible says the gathering of the saints (1st Resurrection and rapture) is after the Great Tribulation... in this case that will be on Feast of Trumpets 2016.

I can understand be excited about date setting but the Lord did say we will not know the day and the hour.
When Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour except the Father in Heaven... he was actually using a common Jewish idiom referring to the Feast of Trumpets. It is the only feast that starts at the beginning of the lunar month and no one knows the day or the hour because the month can have either 29 or 30 days. So the custom is to have at least 2 witnesses see the new moon before declaring the start of the feast.
Corollary to that... notice in the prophecy of the Great Tribulation... the 2 Witnesses will be killed in the street of Jerusalem and after 3.5 days they will be resurrected and rise up to the sky! That is the gathering of the saints... the 1st resurrection and rapture... the 2 Witnesses declaring the Feast of Trumpets! The prophecy of the Feast is then fulfilled.
Yes, the word twitter contains more truth than you realize.
