I heard something that I thought was cute from a child this morning...
thought it might be a light topic for the forum...
showing us how precious the little ones are...
Have you heard a child say something that was just darling or funny or made you stop for a moment and think?
This morning a mother and daughter were saying grace before they ate...then, as I'm walking by the table...I hear...
"mommy, why don't you use your phone to talk to God....I think it works here."
I can remember when my girls were little...they would say the cutest things...wish I had wrote them down..
most of them didn't involve God directly...but I could see God in them so easily.
When I was teaching preschool, I will never forget this....we had outdoor easels on the playground. I was tending to a child who fell and as I look up, I see two little girls coloring on the CHURCH WALL. Oh boy....so I go over to ask the girls what they were doing, and there response to me was "We are writing a letter to God".
I read this one from a Sunday school teacher after she told the class the story of how Lot's wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt. A little boy raised his hand and said it also happened to his mom. He said one day she was driving and looked back... and she turned into a telephone pole!
This is not a joke, just something one of my twin did the other day, I walked in the house and saw one of my small food container sitting on the coffee table. I asked the children, "What is this bowl doing sitting here?" to which my 4yr old son replied happily, " We're just giving the lizard some water mommy, he's thirsty"!
I said "WHAT"! There in one of my favorite container (the one I pack my lunch in) is a lizard covered in water mind you, trying to get away from "these kids" Yuck! (lol)
Took "him" outside and freed him. Yeah.......kids.

Sounds like something my girls would do...
I've found turtles, frogs, lizards, earthworms...anything you could imagine in my house or in the bathtub at times...
Wish I knew how to multiquote...
I mess it up each time I try!...lol
Reverend1111....so cute too!...
Wilvan too!....makes me really sad that I didn't write down the stuff my children said when they were little...I always thought about it...but never did.
Such memories.
